Extreme Ghostbusters Theme (Without Sound Effects)

Ghostbusters Discussion Ghostbusters Cartoons

Hello folks, got something nice for you all today!

Courtesy of Jim Latham who I would like to thank for his generosity and time, I have attached the XGB theme minus the “spook” sound effects that can be heard in the intro. The song was only ever intended to be played as an introduction so as a result is only the length of the intro - but it’s still great to have it in our collection.

Also, Jim told me who did the vocals (and it made me smile.)

The vocals are done by none other than Jim Cummings - the voice of Tigger and Winnie The Pooh!

Anyway, the file is here:

COOL! I always thought the vocals sounding like him. NEGA DUCK, The Shocker etc.

3

That is cool I always loved this theme had such a gothy tone to it.

4

Good to see this resurface. I always wondered if it got overlooked. A true gem here. All the little details in the song really come out.

5

There’s another Gem coming your way…

6

Damn cryptic posts…

7

Wonder when that’s coming. Its almost the end of the month.

8

Halloween.

9

Please…a longer version of the song?

I love this version more than the ‘remakes’ out there.

10

The song is better with Sound Effects.

11

Sorry! The other Gem is not a longer version of this song! I got the impression from Jim that there perhaps is a longer version (but please, don’t quote me on that) but, it is filed away somewhere deep! The fact he took the time to give me the tune without sfx is fantastic alone!

You’ll have to wait until October for the other gem.

I remember watching XGB before going to school about 10-12 years ago. So awesome.

I wish I kept the proton pack. BUT, I’m making an original one now.

13

About two months have passed, any word on the other ‘special’, Atarizen?

14

OOP! Looks like ya forgot October’s release!

15

I knew it was planned for October, but October’s been over for 10 days.

16

He prolly got busy like everyone else does in October.

17

Well, until we get whatever new surprise they are cooking up for us, I did a mix of the intro effectless egb music Jim Provided, and mixed in the end music from the last half of the episodes.

We love the egb theme, but it was just a tad short for our ecto audio.. now it isn’t!

Here’s my thread for it:

Any chance we can get a re-up of this track? The link is dead and I’ve been searching for it for AGES. It would be MUCH appreciated

19

My 4shared link is still available. It has both the opening and closing music combined into a single long song.

I got those ones, and they are MUCH appreciated, Garee, thank you. I just wanted to see if it was possible to get the original stand-alone.
