Finally building my pack

Always impressed witht he quality and character of the AZ Ghostbusters, Ive decided to finally start building my pack! I don’t know how long it will take as I might have to move in a bit, but I decided to start witht he gearbox, cyclotron and spacer, and power cell

Here’s where Im at:






oh, I have a quick question about the gearbox, do the bottom fins (the six) fade into the bottom of the box?

The bottom fins do fade into the bottom of the gearbox but only slightly. you seem to have stuck yours to the underneath where the real props had them stuck to the face of the box then faded a little underneath.

also the fins on the right hand side fade into the box. the way you have extended them means you cant attach the gunmount box or HGA.

Oh wow, I see your point! I planed on belt sanding them down dramatically, but when I look at that pic, Im just going to remove them and start over, thanks a ton!

Also looks like you’re using 1/4" thick ribs instead of 1/8" – if you don’t care, it doesn’t matter, but I just thought I’d point it out.

thanks, I couldnt find any 1/8" in my area, so I figured I’d belt sand em down, hope Im not setting myself up for disaster.

For the bottom “fins” I was just going to make a strip going across the (bottom of) gearbox and sand out the grooves if that makes any sense.
