Grr. I didn’t realize I was blocking so much of the light in a few of the shots.
Also that orange LED on the white hat light looks good in the daylight, but as soon as you turn off the lights and view it.. its way too orange.

Can you trigger the IR senor without buying another wand? Matty’s description mentioned new display pattern and new sounds when using a second wand.

Might be able to trigger the IR sensor with a standard remote control; we’ve used our remotes to triggers some IR toys here 
I don’t know if I have anything to trigger it.
I did plug the end of the gun into a speaker. I think it sends audible clicks down the line when you are flipping the switches. I would have to connect to a volt meter to figure out exactly what the jack does though.
Could it be possible it is also sending power which would go to a pack if they were to build one and run certisn lights? Just a thought.

Anyone considered that you might be able to fire wand into a mirror to get the extra functions.
That might be difficult given that the sensor appears to be on the side of the barrel rather than the front.
It occurs to me that if you have the cash to splash on it, these would be excellent donors for electronics for Proton Pistols… with some modification.

I personally will be ordering one as soon as available!I know the moto of this crowd after reading hundreds of your posts is “built not brought” but im useless with tools, and this looks fairly sweet. At this rate it will take me a year just to build a simple g trap. I re-iterate im not good with tools. Would be good If AJ could check out functionality in mirror before I buy…not that it will stop me buying.
Thanks Kingpin i didn’t pick that up from the description, so the sensor is on the side of barrel. I Would be interesting to see how these devices act in a group. It’s a problem for me because I live in nz at the bottom of the world. Not a large gb fan group down here…Sadly

Any one consider the possibility that the sensor on the barrel is to interact with another thrower or group of throwers for a crossing the streams effect…now that would be awesome … And shame, shame AJ its a 701 on the thrower …LOL
