First Proton Pack Build - Norm's plans

Hey everyone. I’ve started a pack build. I’ve been wanting something to war to cons and I’m trying to get it done before Halloween. I decided to use Norm’s plans.

I’ve also built the EDA, Power cell, and ion arm.

I’ve ordered a few resin parts from eBay. Resistors, shock mount, and crank knob. I’ve never worked with resin before. What is the best way for attaching them to the pack? I think I would be alright gluing the resistors and crank knob, but I’m worried about knocking the shock mount off.

Great start but holy moly you have a lot of work to do by Halloween. I would drill a hole through the shock mount and attach it with a bolt.

I’m working on it as much as possible. Hopefully I can have it finished. I doubt I’ll have time to do any lights. I’m not sure yet.

Another question.

How much overlap is there between the powercell and the eda? The plans show a hole for wiring in the front of the eda but it looks like the powercell just sits beside it.

And on top of building the proton pack I have to finish making custom pokeball candy buckets for Halloween, finish the belt gizmo, and figure out how I’m going to attach my leg hose.

I’ve got a leg hose connector. I’m just undecided on how I’m going to attach it.

Also, I found a cup dispenser on amazon for $7 as an add on item. It comes with a metal bracket. I’ll post pics of the bracket when I can. I’m on 12 hour shifts all weekend. Does anyone have dimensions of the dixie cup bracket?

Some more pics. I had planned on having it done before Halloween, but I sliced my thumb open last weekend. I haven’t put much work into it since then.

This is the cup bracket I found on Amazon. $7 as an addon item. I believe you have to spend $25 before you can add it to your order.

Looks like you will not hit that Halloween dead line. But keep at it, this thing took me 4 times as long as I thought.
