Found this pack builder on ebay...

Hey guys, I am new to the site and am looking into buying a pack on eBay. eBay user godsrod67 builds them, and to me they look pretty good, but was wondering if anyone here has used him before, or knows of any packs he built. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi,

I’d check out this topic first.

Also if you want a really superior pack I’d look on GBFans to see who might be selling one,

Because I’m immature I giggled at this.

ANYWAY - as far as Proton Pack builds on eBay goes, DO NOT TRUST THEM. There’s an extremely high chance you’ll wind up out of nearly $1,000 and without a Proton Pack; or in some cases a piece of shit Pack. It’s not worth it.

Check out the link that Cowbybill posted, have a look around the For Sale section, get and make sure you have enough time and money to put into making a Pack if you really, really want one.

Most people wind up getting in over their heads because they want so much into it, and either don’t have the money or time so they eventually ruin a potentially awesome Proton Pack.

Looking at the most recent Proton Pack he sold - The gun wasn’t even finished! He didn’t even include that in the description. It’s not worth to waste your time and money on something like that.

i had a hard time finding his ebay auctions. i found one of someone attempting to do preorders to build one from texas.

dont get suckered into doing that. on top of not knowing that person’s work quality, you SHOULD know every piece that goes on to your proton pack and where it comes from. you could have a pack covered in terrible parts with bubbles and resin flashing made from awful chalky resin.

if you want to buy anything ghostbuster prop related on ebay, double check with the community black list…and our feed back section.

Man am I glad I finally joined this forum. Thank you guys for the help, I really appreciate it. I’ll be checking out those links right now. Unfortunately I wasn’t born with that special gene that gives you the talents or patience to build..well anything. So I am opting to just buy one

honestly you will get much more satisfaction building it yourself. im working on my pack right now and its a labor of love. the more you complete the better you feel about taking on this task. buying a pack that someone put there own blood sweat and tears in wont feel the same. Good Luck!

all of this. a proton pack is a gateway prop. you make a proton pack, and you’ll make a ton of others from other movies and things you’re a fan of. even make more proton packs.

it was my first prop, wont be my last.

completely agree 100% it may take you 2 years to build off and on, but its worth the end result
