To make a long story short, I have decided to purchase a professionally made proton pack instead of building one. With that being said, I am not sure what is the best one to buy. I am looking for any first hand knowledge of where someone may have purchased their own pack, or know anything about the three I will list. 1-holeintheground.com, 2-viking props and 3-bobs prop shop. They cost 2000.00, 1500.00 and 2600.00 respectively. I have heard mixed reviews on each and all of the video demos look pretty awesome. Any insite would be greatly appreciated!
Welcome to GBFans, and good job on checking here first.
Here are some Feedback threads on the makers you mention.
Doesn’t seem very highly recommended here. Check this thread for more:
No. Just no.
There’s a huge thread on this board explaining why:
Add Vinny to your list. I’m on my phone or I would put in a link. I know someone will be able to for me.
Here’s a real nice pack that is for sale. I’m a little bias though ![]()
man, it turns out now that all three I could shoot significant holes in per the threads listed above. bobs prop has an entire thread just killing the thing, people refer to viking prop as faux packs and the holeintheground seller seems like a guy you just don’t want to do business with unfortunately. The feedback was very helpful and i really appreciate it, so thank you very much guys!..but does anyone know where i can find a good, solid, reputable pack? haha probably the biggest first world problem ever, but nonetheless, still a problem.
Why not just buy the parts from the GBFans store and build a pack? All of the resources you would need are here to help you with your build and the store has quality parts.
are u referring to vinny v330 (on Facebook)? his packs look amazing and the small sample of info that i have found fully support him. any further info would be awesome!
My friends tell me the same thing. I don’t trust myself to do it properly, but more importantly I don’t have the time with my work schedule. i figure I should just put the money to good use since I work so damn much. I hear ya though, thanks for the suggestion
Can’t go wrong with Joe Luna or Vincenzo from what I’ve seen and heard. Nickatron also does commissions but is UK based
You betcha! http://www.gbfans.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=31764
I was going to have a commission done by him, and then I decided to go crazy and build my own. I am using all this aluminum parts and thrower.

This.
Joe does great work and so does Vincenzo.
Keep in mind that for the best, you pay for the best.
Both Joe and Vincenzo are reputable sellers.
Never buy from any of these three:
2-viking props
3-bobs prop shop
They should all be the top sellers to AVOID!
Check out Vincenzo330, or buy parts from the GBFans Shop to build your own. Shop | GBFans.com
there are starter kits on ebay (and probably here too) for $600 that provide you with most of the materials, you will have to track some things down (again gbfans or ebay) but it makes it alot easier, and you could always get a mattycollector gun with lights and sounds for $150 that will save you lots of time

…those are from Bob, which people have said to avoid. …with a ten foot cattle prod!
Thanks everyone for all of your input. I have already contacted Vince and am hoping to get something started in the coming days. I can’t believe that I was considering those 3 frauds to begin with. Thanks again!
Congrats bud, welcome to the community and great choice going with Vince! His packs are the gold standard

joeghostbuster doesn’t care. He only cares about how much they cost.
You’ve made a good choice getting in contact with Vincenzo. Dont take my word for it, his customers speak volumes for him
whatever you say AJ, you’re the boss, I was just trying to help by offering another alternative that is less expensive, as not all of us have the financial means to spend thousands of dollars on this kind of stuff. sorry to bother you all, I’ll go back to being a lurker.
