French company releasing 80s toon soundtracks, Shuki Levy

A French company is slowly re-releasing several soundtracks including Inspector Gadget, He-Man, and Dallas.

They are even releasing a SECOND limited Gadget CD because they were able to get some more stuff from Mr. Levy. Hopefully they will somehow get RGB out as well.

You can also “like” a request by me for TMNT, RGB, Thundercats, and the Raccoons on their Facebook page under their July 20th post announcing the next four releases.

I tried e-mailing them but got no response. Maybe if someone here who doesn’t muddle through when writing in French could try.

Also if you don’t post in French on their facebook page it doesn’t show up after you log out.

I’m still also looking into other ways (including trying to find John Smith, finding who owns the rights, getting some kind of license/agreement/contract with Sony to release it myself, and locating the masters) but still no luck, mostly just ignored e-mails or “Sorry can’t help you”.

Hello,

I’m french and I never heard about this “company”.

You must be very carefull when it’s come to 80’s cartoon stuff in the french market.

There are inded a lot of companies that want to make profit thanks to the nostalgia of these cartoons without having any respect for the copyright.

So I’m very suspicious about this so caled company.

I mean it’s not the first time we have company in France that release nostalgia material without owning the right :frowning:

French? That seems kinda weird. I really wish they would release those soundtracks! I love them so…

It seems legit. Most of it is releases is of old rare stuff but since they now have a CD with previously unreleased material for Inspector Gadget it seems like they have access to some other sources as well. They also said they only can release Saban owned music, since that’s the only company they have a contract (with so far).

All I have to say is here’s hoping for RGB and C.O.P.S.
