I’m sure it’s been said elsewhere, but have to say that Sponge’s tutorial videos are like Bob Ross painting demos to me - amazingly informative while also calming. I don’t think I’ll ever mod a Spirit walkie but enjoyed watching the process. Thanks for doing those, sir!
Would this module work in a real MT-500?
I already have the walkie talkie. I’m just looking for a good sound kit now.
Almost - the wiring is a bit different, so I do need to get some instructions written up for this and was planning on including some additional parts like a battery holder and possibly a replacement speaker since some speakers in the MT500s have been previously damaged. And compared to my previous MT500 sound board, this board uses two AA batteries, rather than a 9V battery.
Do you have any of the upgraded Spirit radios available still?
Are these still available to put an order in? Just got hold of a spirit walkie talkie & would love more sounds coming from it than the stock ones.

What are the odds of these coming back? And as important, any chance these kits could go inside real MT500s, like your original ones you sold?
I am looking at making another run of these and am looking into if/how I can make these also work for the MT500.
The current design can work in the MT500, but the connections are a bit more complicated.
I’ll take a soundboard and front label! Just got one of the radios during the after Halloween discount.
