I vote strongly against this comic the guy who is writing it is putting it down. Why would we want him to continue a story of which he has hardly any knowledge of. Heres one of the quotes of him putting it down.

Is Ghostbusters a successful franchise? It’s definitely generated a lot of revenue in different formats so I guess one could consider it successful in a bottom line kind of way, but creatively, I think it’s been hit or miss. :sigh:

Seriously they should get someone to write the story that actually likes all of the franchise instead of someone who says *I liked the first one I had to watch it a while back though just make sure it fit with todays audience.

It could of just been how the questions were worded or some other thing influencing his answers.

Well, that doesn’t really sound too bad. It didn’t sound like he was putting the franchise down at all. It does sound, though, like he’s not really a fan. (Not that he necessarily doesn’t like it, but just that he’s more of a casual viewer) I’d sure as heck much rather have a fan putting it together. Let’s just hope some of the other people working on the project will be Ghostbusters fans. Either way, as long as they treat the franchise properly and give us some good comics, I’m all for anything new with my favorite franchise.

I certainly hope they have some people involved who know what they can and can NOT mess with…I will say this for the whole 88mph debacle…When I did finally manage to get all four issues of Legion (about three freaking years after it started) I was really, really pleased with it. The equipment, the suits, and that beautiful Ecto all looked the way they should, and I personally think even the characters were nailed down pretty well. I consider it kind of a more serious, realistic RGB comic. I’m wondering if this new one will approach it as a continuation of the more serious, slight darker comic tone of the film. Based on the interviews we’ve seen, it does look that way, so I’ll try to keep my hopes up…Either way, I’m stoked that I get another shot at new GB comics. Let’s hope IDW does right by us!
