GB Timeline....

Hi

can someone tell me how the real gb cartoon series fits inbetween gb and gb2

timeline wise

thanks

It doesn’t completely fit as the series ran on into 1992, three years after Ghostbusters II.

The first episode of The Real Ghostbusters aired in 1986, two years after Ghostbusters. The last episode to air before 1989 was the final episode of the show’s third season, The Brooklyn Triangle.

Starting with the forth season, an animated version of Louis was debuted, along with Janine being remodelled to sport a haircut similar to the one Annie Potts had in the second movie. With the airing of the fifth episode of the fourth season, a specific reference was made to Vigo the Carpathian by Egon (he specifically refers to the incident with Vigo having occurred “last year”, indicating the Ghostbusters encountered him in 1988… and Ghostbusters II was in production in '88.

The show doesn’t completely fit between 1984 and 1989, and what does comes with a set of issues. Fritz Baugh who created the Ghostbusters Omnibus Timeline was able to straighten things out into a coherent series of events… but unmodified, the two properties contradict each other.

Ben didn’t say my name three times  , but here it is:

did you guys like the look of the real gbs they didnt match the movies much

I really enjoy the cartoon. Have no problems with the differences in appearance of them, the uniforms, or equipment.

Agree with the above. Although at first, I didn’t really like the different uniforms for each guy.

I DID however have a big problem with the toy figures’ proton packs with the permanently attached streams not being able to be hung the same way they were in the movie/cartoon…even then…my OCD reared its ugly head lol.
