Though no exact details have been given to me at this time, I have been informed that the demo will in fact be different than the San Diego Comic-Con version, not exactly sure how exactly! but I will keep you guys posted as I recieve more detailed info.
very cool, it will be exciting to play something different than what we’ve already seen on youtube…
as far as WHEN it actually comes out, I can’t imagine it arrives any earlier than maybe April. can anyone think of a downloadable demo that has been released more than 2 months previous to a games actual release date?..
Not any that I can think of that didn’t have a catch. Resident Evil 5 comes out March 5th in Japan and they got an exclusive demo on December 5th. Resistance: Retribution, which releases on March 17th just got a demo on January 15th as well, but a pre-order was required. I don’t keep up wth demos too much though so there might be other things out there.
I thought it would have made more sense to release the demo around April to build up some hype, or do what they done with COD world at war beta/demo and release it to the fans first before putting it out for everyone.
I dont see any point in putting the demo out a week or 2 before the actual game release.
I’ve always felt the same way about the demo. I mean sure if the demo came out in a month sure I’d probably be tempted but if it’s coming out in June or even late May what’s the point? I mean we’ve waited this long we might as well wait the extra few weeks and experience the game for the first time with the real thing.
True, true. Thing is I have a Ps3 so by the time I’ve finished downloading the demo the game will be on the shelves. OH SNAP! Way to stick it to my own consoles downloading capabilities!!
Really Charlie? You mean it only takes you ONE hour to download a demo, OH SNAP AGAIN!
Oh I kid the PS3 I kid but i do love it to death and would never trade it in for a 360. Yeah the PS3 isn’t perfect but all the consoles have their pros and cons.
No kidding? Everyone I know who owns a PS3 and has a decent internet connection has the same tedious download speed when the log on to PSN. I just assumed it was a flaw with the machine..
I agree about the pointlessness of console wars. I especially hate those console fanboys who try to rub their console in your face with a point by point rundown on why you own the inferior machine. They really seem to relish it and drives me insane.
Yeah, console wars are really bad, but whats worse than PS3 vs 360 and such is PC vs Consoles. I’d say that discussion has the most elitist talk.
As for the demo, yeah I’m a slightly disappointed, but I do realise that demos really are put out to attract potential buyers and not really to give a glimpse to the people that will already buy it so I’m not too disappointed. Matter of fact, I kind of like hearing that it won’t be out until maybe 2 to 3 weeks to go because as has been said, it just makes it easier to just wait for the full game and to experience it all for the first time.
