Nice and clean! Good job! :crunch:
That’s just an awesome looking pair of ecto-goggles! You gonna weather the frame?
No I don’t think so… I prefer it clean with no scratch (for the moment…). Eventualy, it will be weather by itself… ![]()
Those of one of the nicest Ecto Goggles i have ever seen,
Well done im very jealous
i dont think those need weathering, they look just perfect as they are
Thanks Hasford, I apreciate your good comment!!!
No problem ![]()
looks very accurate … nice job !
what parts did u use for the lenses ?
Very nice! I’m also interested in how you made the strap.
So, I built the lenses with some kind of PVC’s tubing. I think you can find them at your local hardware store in the plumbing section. For the lense, I used plexiglass. For the headstrap, I founded some nylon straps in the camping/outdoor section at the same hardware store where I bought the PVC’s tubing.
Hey, nice job on the goggles! I’m about to attack a pair myself.
It’s driving me crazy, I know I have some item around the house that has one of those silver tuning knobs (of the 3 that are on the lenses), but can’t think what or where I’ve seen it. Please enlighten me, what are those things (in real life?) And, where do you get them?
Thanks!
Any chance of some pictures of the the parts used to make the lenses.
The plumbing parts. They look perfect. 8)
A great job,
I to am intrested in hoe you did the lenses what diamater tubing you used
also the silver knobs, were do you get them from
Thanks in advance

All mesurements are not movie accurate, I just watched the movie 10 000 times to have an idea what the dimensions are. (I took the mesurements with a digital caliper)
PVC ‘‘A’’ is the same
Same thing for the PVC ‘‘B’’
PVC ‘‘A’’ is actually a sink tailpiece, ‘‘B’’ and ‘‘C’’ are just plumbing piece (You can find them at your local hardware store your plumbing store like HOME DEPOT, or maybe WALL-MART but I’m not sure)
For the silver knobs, I don’t remember what is the real name. I was at the electronics store and saw theses beauties…I think it can be used like a spacer on electronic boards because we can add a screws inside them, on both side.
Of course PCB Spacers, Fantastic idea
