GB2 collectible cup information?

I have this GB2 cup from when I was a kid. I think it was about the time the movie came out as a promotional. I have this vague memory of it being McDonalds related, but am not sure. I can’t seem to find anything about it.

Probably Hardees. If I remember correctly they handled most fast food promotion for GB2 if not all.

I have several of these thermal mugs. I know some of them were handled by Fujifilm, and others I believe where collectibles you could buy at Hardees as stated above.

I could be wrong but I believe Hardees only handled the mugs with the handles. Not the tumblers like pictured above

Hardee’s does sound more familiar now that I think about it. Also after finding the old hardee’s GB2 commercials do actually remember them.

I remember the fall after the movie came out, I saw this cup at a department store with several other cups and mugs from movies that came out that summer. I ended up getting the Batman mug.

Hardees did handle the cups cause I had one of the large cups and GB2 key chain that made noise or something. but for the mug I have no clue.

That along with a large and small mug with handles are made by ThermoServ. I have been looking for one of these thermal cups for a long while. The large mug shows up on eBay regularly and sells cheap. The short mug a little less often but the cup, haven’t seem one since last May.

Yeah. I got one at a Hills; same place I bought my Screaming Heroes and Super Fright Features figures. Man, I miss that Hills–it was the best store in the area. Until it closed and got replaced with a Venture.

I have the same cup!

Hardee’s did:

  • Balloons

  • Lunchpail

  • Glass set

  • Mug with a handle that went with the lunchpail

They also did the noise makers which were strange to be tied into the movie. Never understood them.
