Im putting together a GB2 uniform to go with my new pack. On the fence if I want to do a “birthday party” or a “Vigo showdown” uniform. I will be using the black belt. My plans are to have spots for my monitor 4, radio shack sound level meter, Rays slime sample jar plus the other bits.
Here are my keyfobs in the making. Can somebody tell me what the lengths of the straps should be? And were they stitched or did they use snaps?

The fobs I had a friend make for me are 3’’ (width of the GB2 black belt I have) for the loop and another half inch give or take past that starts the hardware. Also, the fobs are stitched. Like you’re planning, I also hang the Sound Level Meter and a slime jar from my belt.
Thanks for the help! Your belt looks great! for my sound level meter Im going to mod the leather pouch with a strap so I can strap it to the belt. For the monitor 4 Im going to see if I can find a small binocular pouch, as the case it came with is brown and would look out if place.

Here is my completed slime sample jar.
It was made out of a large Peter Pan peanut butter container and a small dog collar.
I just received my new nomex, I still need to iron on the patch and order my name tag off etsy.

Looks great! What did you use for the slime? Mine is some cheap dollar store crap I found last Halloween.
I used Suave shampoo, can’t remember which one though. It’s not watery, it has a nice slimy feel to it.

I love that you’re doing a Khaki GB 2 (Not that there’s anything wrong with charcoal, I just like the khaki as well). I plan on converting my current khaki GB1 to 2 after I buy a new flight suit. I also enjoy the specimen jar. Great job!
If you plan on going GBII end battle you might want to consider picking one of these up.
This is a Blackhawk Rappelling Harness that I snagged off of Ebay. Thus far, I am the only person I know geektarded enough to get one. It looks exactly like the kind the guys wear when they rappell into the museum.
Overall, your attention to detail on this costume has been great, and the harness is a really nice touch. It gets lost so easily in that scene that it’s easy to miss. Do you have any other info on the harness?
Frankly, I looked at the film and searched online for harnesses that looked similar. I ended up finding an unused one on Ebay for about $30.00. Here is a listing with more detail:

Thanks! I currently have a GB1 Venkman and a Spengler uniform. I’ve decided to use my name on my GB2. Im going to do another one down the road. It will most likely be a “birthday” party, since everyone else in my franchise refuses to wear anything with the GB2 logo.
