Hello all looking for any users of the newest light and sound kit to determine if what I would like to accomplish is possible with it. I’m rounding the end stage of the mk4 q pack 84 styled with the removable cyclotron to view the internals just like the haslab, I have completed a throwing chicken wand with a gbfans wand kit from probably 8 years ago(life got in the way of finishing the whole pack) from what I can tell nothing from the wand kit has changed and should drop in with the new light/sound kit; correct me if I’m wrong about that.
My question with the new light and sound board is: does it accommodate for the same features as that of the haslabs ie. Internal cyclotron cake lighting, the control panel next to the cake, and the cyclotron itself when attached back to the main body through pogo pin setup as well as the added feature of the n filter light with smoke setup. I combed through looking for others like myself but they are so old of threads with many nonremovable cyclotrons or mods of the haslabs with stuff already in place. Originally was considering the ninjatunes route to make sure i got all the features; he suggested checking out the gbfans since it was a great option and that I potentially wouldn’t have to redo the wand. Hope to hear back with anyone’s experiences on this or even a look at how they set it up in the same pack.

To answer your question, yes the wand light kit is still backwards compatible with the new Light and Sound Controller.
Now as far as making it work with the removable cyclotron and adding a light panel for the internal effects maybe. The cyclotron lights require only 3 wires to control all 4/24/32/40 LEDs. So you should be able to wire it up through the pogo pins if you are so inclined.
If you wanted to add additional LEDs, this is actually possible by daisy chaining or swapping functionality. For example, you could 100% plug something like this into the N-Filter / Vent connection and put it behind the control panel:

Similarly, you could also use a RGB tape strip like this if you were wanting to have the lights going around the inside of the pack when the cyclotron is removed:

Just note you do have an overall limit of the number of LEDs you can ultimately have due to the power draw. There is a way to reduce brightness and power consumption though to stay within that window. You could also inject your own 5V power source to power the LEDs separately from the pack controller and then you could theoretically have hundreds of LEDs.
Now keeping this in mind, anything outside of what is already standard will require a custom firmware for the additional features. But I am not against helping out with that as long as it is straightfoward!

Super helpful AJ, gonna do some planning here on location(s) of electronics. Having a separate source for the cake may be the option I need with a pico and neopixel to do the animations; I wasn’t planning on have the cap off and wearing it for the overload sequence. It’s more for the display aspect of it. I’ll reach out if I hit a road block to see if it’s something easy to manage.
