Yeah, I was thinking of doing something like that. That will probably be the way to go.
what about using copper pipeing? it the pack isn’t gonna be heavy then you could always just take the straps off a back pack and mount the straps right to the mobo. just an idea. the pack is coming along great tho.
I’ve toyed around with the idea of mounting the straps right onto the mobo cause the pack only weights about 6-8 pounds tops… that is a viable option.
Well here’s the mostly completed pack. I bought hobby lobby lights for the cyclotron and power cell and I’ve also got a light for the thrower. I’ll probably post up a video of it soon. I’m probably going to attempt a full sized dollar store pack next now that I have this experience under my belt. Should be a lot easier to do this time!

That’s sweet! I remember my dad hooking a lightbulb and a 9v battery to a piece of 2x4 using a clothes pin for a switch and I thought it was the greatest thing ever. Too have this would have blown my mind!

My daughter had a blast with the costume this year and received many compliments when she was out trick or treating. I know next year ghostbusters will probably be far from her mind, but atleast I got to see her enjoy it this year and that made this the best Halloween ever for me! Thanks for all of the kind remarks everyone! Her custom proton pack will be kept in good shape for her until the day she wants to take it and hopefully keep it as a memory of her old man lol
Now comes the “display case and hanging it on her wall” build! It looked great, man. Glad she had a blast.
