So pretty much my plans for tonight fell through, and I put in many hours and much effort into my GB costume I’m not going to let it go to waste. So I decided to travel my old trick or treating route to check out people’s yards and costumes. As I’m walking around you could hear most people amazed about my lit up pack. So yeah.. I feel good. 8)
Then it happens a seemingly endless parade of kids asking me, “are you like those ‘Ghost Hunter’ guys on tv?” are you a “ghost exterminatior or something?” I mean come’on! Do parents teach there kids anything now adays?
Then I had a 15 year old girl say, “Ugh, another ghostbuster.” Which I replied, “How many have you seen tonight.” And she says, “None tonight but today in school everyone had those dumb inflatable backpacks!”
Now… I have nothing against the inflatable proton packs, I wore one last year. But to throw my pack in with store bought packs… and call them dumb backpacks. I guess I’ll some it up with a quote one of my neighbors said, “Going retro with the Ghostbusters, huh? Did I say retro? Man I must be getting old.”
Lame!
Any simular stories from other ghostheads this halloween?

Yeah, I contemplated that happening, so my friends and I went out with the Ghostbusters 2 suits on to have a little more contrast from the guys with the inflatable things.
Maybe I’ll do something like that next year. Since those costumes came out last year and there werent all that popular, I thought I’d be the only GB in town.
I have to say I was a HIT on franklin street some reporter stopped me to have my picture taken for the local paper for the top 5 costumes that night, i asked which number I was, and she said 1, not to mention the 30+ people I had to stop and take pictures with. I did get called “hey that guys a ghostbusters” Singular kids not plural and i was called “hey you’re that guy with that thing from the movie” other than that I was a hit, not to mention the ONLY ghostbuster in the area of about 2000+ people.
yeah people would be behind me and talk amongst themselves saying “dude, I think that things real… ask em, no you ask em.” “hey man… can you like catch REAL ghosts with that?” HAHA
There is an old victorian neighborhood in town here that is the traditional trick or treating spot. The whole place goes all out with decorations and everything. So my buddy and I got dressed up our gear and walked around the neighbor talking to people and taking pictures with. It was a lot of fun, we were recognized by most.
But the funniest thing was when a lady in a mini van pulls up with her kids and says, “You guys look great! That is so awesome! Here, have the rest of my daughter’s trick or treat candy, she doesn’t need it anyway!”
Yea me and my buddy went to haunted houses.. and everything was fine.. real popular.. one black girl.. says..‘Whad up with all dat der".. and I was like.. Oh we’re the Ghostbusters.. her friend says..’ yknow Girl Ray Parkers Song".. .. wierd.. Then an indian guy says they are great costumes.. the points at the backpack and says" “Wadido”… and I was like.. uh what.. and my buddy say.. oh “Whats it do?.. its just pretend”.. and I say.. “The lites just blinky blinky..”.. and he says “Oh blinky blinky. very nice..”..
Everybody was cool about it.. we went to a place called the “haunted woods”. an outside haunted attraction.. and the owners gave us 3 bucks off each.. ok.. lets see.. $300 at least each to build the stuff.. and 3 bucks off.. yea it all evened out sure.. ha ah..
Anyway.. we also go in like sooner.. cuz these girls decided they wanted refund and wasnt going in.. the owners said no refunds.. so they said they would go if the ghostbusters went with them.. so we get called to the front of the line.. Me taking the front .. the girls sandwiched between us.., and my buddy taking the back door..
We were allowed to wear the packs inside.. we are going under all these little trees and stuff.. so I pull the gun so it dont get hung up.. our pack lights are lighting everything up in red every so often.. so we are getting creeped out.. just then I hit some cobwebs or something like cobwebs.. and like fidget with my face.. the girls hit it too. and are like screeming… we continue.. all of a sudden I am getting bogged down.. like something has grabbed me..I dont want to say anything.. cuz that sounds so wussass.. but I can tell I am hungup or something.. I am going forward.. but I am getting pulled back.. Then I ask “hey girls are yall grabbin the pack” they say"yes we got ahold and aint lettin go".. Ok great.. now I got 2 crazy women all over my wand.. uh.. pack.. backpack.. geez.. I screwed most stuff down.. so I wasnt all that concerned. but didnt like it..
Then everytime something jumped out.. those girls would run away into the darkness and then realize there partners werent with them. and we would find them hangin onto each other further up the trail in the dark.. man.. it was a trip.. this place had a big pile of shoes where people ran so fast they lost the shoes and didnt go back.. they were that scared.. and yea its the 1st time in a long time.. I got frightend.. as me and my buddy have worked Haunted Houses.. so we kinda know what to expect..
I went out last night with my son as backup  I was wearing my slimeblower and he had on his proton pack, I was surprised at how many kids instantly recognized us as Ghostbusters. One parent actualy thought we were astronauts  It was interesting to see the looks on peoples faces as they opened the door to a four year old ghostbuster in full gear with his Dad right behind him with spotlights ablaze!
