So I haven’t posted here in a long long long time!
So I wanted opinions. My funds are kinda tight so there’s no way I would be able to buy all the parts this year without any help from the wife and mom.
The mom is getting me a studio creations shell and I’m asking the wife for the gbfans sound board for my birthday in sept.
While waiting on those items I’m getting a gun kit and pack parts kit from Karnivorous Creations, the light boards, battery pack and other little parts right here from GBfans. Already have a mother board from 1/8 aluminum I made 6 or 7 years ago and an alice pack. So I think I’ve got all my ducks in a row. It won’t be a hero pack but I think it’ll be a nice looking pack.
So that’s my plan. Now here’s my questions. What do you guys think would be the best way to reinforce a SC shell? I’ve been told to use “great stuff” which for its intended purpose is actually well great haha however I am not sure about putting it in my pack shell as it expands quite a bit.
My other question is ( Karnivorous doesn’t have this info on his site which is odd ) what size drill bits and taps will I need for this job? I assume 10/24 or 1/4 20.
Well that’s all I have for now! Once I start receiving parts in the mail ( should ship no later than Saturday ) I’ll be posting pics and most likely asking more questions!
Okay got my gun kit from Karnivorous Creations! I’m mostly finished with the build now! I’m so darned excited about this and had to come on here and share pics!
Last few pics for a while guys. Waiting on a few parts that the dude missed when sending me the kit. I plan to finish her up and paint her by the weekend. I’m having so much fun building this whish I had dropped the money years ago!
Got my soundboard Friday! Tested it with 2 car speakers and a 12V wall adapter. This thing is awesome and LOUD! Will be ordering some more parts and sharing pictures soon!
Okay got more parts on the way! An ion arm cap and the Alice straps.
Once I get the booster tube I’ll be ready to paint.
My question is will resin melt at 170/180° F? We have great auto paint here at work and was thinking about having our painter do my pack for me so it looks really nice.
We usually bake it to cure the paint. Will this be safe to do?
