A vacuum formed ghostbusters sign made from high impact polystyrene and the mould shaped from MDF. Used in my Fan Film Ghostbusters Pirates of the Classroom above my workshop door. It has LEDs spaced out that light it up. It needs to be really dark to se it though. The paint is translucent glass paint and the black lines are marker pen.
I hung it under the canopy that’s outside my tech workshop at the school that i work at. It’s hung using thin wire that you can just see on the photo. On film it looks like its stuck against the wall above the door.
I did put a 12 halogen bulb in to see if it made a difference and it doesn’t dissipate the light very well. It also doesn’t take long for the plastic to begin to heat up, and i’m going to go into teacher mode now and say that as it’s a thermoplastic it tries to flatten out when re heated so got to be careful.
I suppose i could do a few pulls if there was enough interest. Not sure if i’d do the painting though, pain in the ass.
Just have to move the switch onto the back. Maybe spray the inside of the white surround silver (or white) to feflect the light so just the No-Ghost lights up.
