MegaCon 2010 is now only 6 days away, and Ghostbusters Fans from across the nation are getting pumped for what is sure to be an exciting, paranormal weekend. This year, Ghostbusters will be featured front and center with the** Palm Coast Ghostbusters ECTO-1B** being showcased in the Main Lobby of the convention center. The ECTO will not only serve as a prominent feature to showcase our “busting” abilities, but also as a central meeting place for all Ghostbusters throughout the weekend.
Also this year, GBTV and the Central Oklahoma Ghostbusters are carrying forth the Ghostbuster film tradition of paranormal laughter by bringing the Wacky World of Gozer right to you. Come visit us at Booth 805 to get a sneak peak at GBTV–Ghostbuster Television: All Ghostbusters, All the Time! Take moment to be Examined for Possession with their patented Mind Reading Technology and have your deepest, darkest thoughts revealed on a television screen for everyone to see! Yell at our Psycho-Reactive Slime, or just whisper sweet-nothings into it’s non-existent ears–either way, it’s gonna bubble! While at the booth pick up a free button (while supplies last), try on a Proton Pack and have your picture taken with the Ghostbusters and our giant Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. But wait, there’s more!
Make time on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for this year’s show, GBTV’s “Comedy Safety Seminar” featuring newly unearthed GBTV “educational” film reels, slideshows and video tapes, all of which show you how to most safely (and hilariously) run your own Ghostbuster business PLUS the featurette “GBTV’s Guide To A Safe Con”. *Hosted by our special guest Big D of Rhine, Georgia’s Big D’s Used Proton Pack Emporium! *
Also with a booth this year are The Real Tampa Bay Ghostbusters. Featured at Booth 735, they will have their Ecto Containment Unit and Viewing Screen on display. The group will also be helping to raise money with a Ghostbusters Charity Raffle for the Relay For Life. The Relay will be held April 16th - 17th this year and benefits the American Cancer Society.
Unfortunately, the Friday’s is def not walking distance from the con, and International Drive has got a little ridiculous with their towing policies if you don’t pay to park and leave your car in a restaurant parking lot or mini mall…
Our hotel is across from wet n wild, a mile away from the convention center, and the trolley is unlimited rides for 3 days for $6.
$36 for parking just seemed high to us, since we’ll also be raped my Micky mopuse a few days parking there.
I JUST found out our hotel is 15 car spaces away from the dinner get together place! We can drink whatever we want, and stagger back to our hotel room! Woo hoo!
If anyone hasn’t made reservations yet, they were only $41 a night, with free breakfast with waffles!
