Ghostbusters Fans Gathering at Megacon 2010

MegaCon 2010 is now only 6 days away, and Ghostbusters Fans from across the nation are getting pumped for what is sure to be an exciting, paranormal weekend. This year, Ghostbusters will be featured front and center with the** Palm Coast Ghostbusters ECTO-1B** being showcased in the Main Lobby of the convention center. The ECTO will not only serve as a prominent feature to showcase our “busting” abilities, but also as a central meeting place for all Ghostbusters throughout the weekend.

Also this year, GBTV and the Central Oklahoma Ghostbusters are carrying forth the Ghostbuster film tradition of paranormal laughter by bringing the Wacky World of Gozer right to you. Come visit us at Booth 805 to get a sneak peak at GBTV–Ghostbuster Television: All Ghostbusters, All the Time! Take moment to be Examined for Possession with their patented Mind Reading Technology and have your deepest, darkest thoughts revealed on a television screen for everyone to see! Yell at our Psycho-Reactive Slime, or just whisper sweet-nothings into it’s non-existent ears–either way, it’s gonna bubble! While at the booth pick up a free button (while supplies last), try on a Proton Pack and have your picture taken with the Ghostbusters and our giant Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. But wait, there’s more!

Make time on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for this year’s show, GBTV’s “Comedy Safety Seminar” featuring newly unearthed GBTV “educational” film reels, slideshows and video tapes, all of which show you how to most safely (and hilariously) run your own Ghostbuster business PLUS the featurette “GBTV’s Guide To A Safe Con”. *Hosted by our special guest Big D of Rhine, Georgia’s Big D’s Used Proton Pack Emporium! *

Also with a booth this year are The Real Tampa Bay Ghostbusters. Featured at Booth 735, they will have their Ecto Containment Unit and Viewing Screen on display. The group will also be helping to raise money with a Ghostbusters Charity Raffle for the Relay For Life. The Relay will be held April 16th - 17th this year and benefits the American Cancer Society.

I’ll be there!

Bummer, I’m only able to go on Friday! :walterpeck:

Sounds awesome! I wish I lived closer to Florida to hit this up but unfortunately I do not.

Uhg, torture.

Thanks for the info post, Ron!

Also for those attending, you can still purchase the tickets a bit cheaper in advance if you choose to.

Sandra wrote it. I just made it important :stuck_out_tongue:

I will be there on Saturday. I cant wait to meet everyone!

The wife and I will be there in full gear!

Any worries from the registered “licensed” GB locals, if a couple of non-affiliated paranormal investigators / eliminators show up in full gear?

I’m sure no one will mind! Look forward to meeting you!

We’ll both be in gear both friday and saturday… we’ll see how things play out for sunday.

With any luck, we’ll be sporting new belt gizmos, and of course also have our traps.

We’re unleashing a surprise Saturday night . . . people better be on their toes.

Oh Oh…and I’m new…would some us expect any kind of hazing? LOL

Marci was just looking, and con parking is now $12 a day. If I recall, you can park 2-3 blocks away south of there and public parking, and hoof it.

The con parking has no in and out priviledges… is the get together place for dinner walking distance away?

Evil Tony: Nah.. we all give each other shit all the time anyway.

i’ll be there all three days, what day is the prop show thing you’re in ron?

Check Booth 805 on Friday, I’ll be in the Sat and Sun shows - times are not fully set yet.

Unfortunately, the Friday’s is def not walking distance from the con, and International Drive has got a little ridiculous with their towing policies if you don’t pay to park and leave your car in a restaurant parking lot or mini mall…

Why does this sound dirty to me???

Our hotel is across from wet n wild, a mile away from the convention center, and the trolley is unlimited rides for 3 days for $6.

$36 for parking just seemed high to us, since we’ll also be raped my Micky mopuse a few days parking there.

I JUST found out our hotel is 15 car spaces away from the dinner get together place! We can drink whatever we want, and stagger back to our hotel room! Woo hoo!

If anyone hasn’t made reservations yet, they were only $41 a night, with free breakfast with waffles!
