Atari has sent over this new multiplayer trailer for the upcoming Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime video game. The game is scheduled to be available for download on XBoxLive, PSN, and PC on March 23rd for around $10.
In addition, they have included six new screenshots that are only available here on Ghostbusters Fans!
They need to use the original “Ghostbusters” instead of the remade version. Ray’s lack of enthusiasm singing the new version is making me depressed while watching the trailer. Maybe that’s part of the reason why I’m not getting excited.
I was kind of hoping that they would have upped the textures and models a bit since the first trailer. Oh well, I can only hope it has the level of immersion that the ps3 game had.
I would have to agree with AJ on this one I really don’t think people do understand the difference. Ever since this game was announced and footage was shown people have been getting all pissy about it and trashing it. Look at it this way boys and girls like everyone has said in the past if you don’t like it no one has to buy it. I don’t understand how that is a hard thing to get? Look at it this way atari could have just put the first game we all loved out into the market just to please the fans and that could have been a rap for ghostbusters.
But it isn’t, clearly they see how much we all love it and they are just creating something simple to show that they want to keep this franchise going in the gaming world and hopefully to unlock and even better game than the first two were playing now. People crack me up with the shit they say about this game when all in doubt could be the best $10 DLC relating to ghostbusters. The point to my ranting is people need to chill the ■■■■out with complaining all the time about the video games or anything else that comes out with a ghostbusters logo on it. I understand people have the right to voice their own opinion about things but enough is enough already, if it wasn’t for the things out now this website could just be remembering how amazing the ghostbusters were instead of informing us with all the new shit that’s coming out.
I must admit, I was a bit pessimistic when I first heard the news about this game. However, now that the release date is getting closer, and after completing GBTVG for the 4th time, and playing Call of Duty’s Zombie Arcade … I’m actually getting a tad bit excited.
I think people DO understand, but just because its priced at $10.00, doesn’t give developers the green light to make a half assed game. Say they took their time, used the actual actor likenesses, came up with all new ghosts, and had a drivable ecto-1, would you be willing to pay say $30.00 for the game? How about $40.00?
Not that hard to get, but doesn’t mean we cant voice our opinion on the game or point out its obvious flaws. If your going to make a game that caters to the Ghostbusters fan base at least do your research and make sure the characters are holding the wands right. I realize its a trivial detail you can’t even see, but its a detail non the less. Hand your pack wand to anybody on the street, bet the hold it the right way. That’s just one example.
Calling a “wrap” after the first GB game would of been just fine. Anything worth doing is worth doing right IMO…and Jimmy Dugan’s
See I disagree. If you think for one minute the sole purpose of making this game was to please the GBfans and not to turn a quick buck your sadly mistaken. Its obvious they were trying to cash in on the GB name with little to no effort applied.
The only doesn’t make it the best…or does it if there is nothing to compare to?
Conversely, people need to stop going gaga over every item that comes out with a GB logo slapped on it.
Sorry, welcome to the interwebs: Home of the Complaining Anonymous Forum Poster…And the 2 for 1 Nerd Rage Special ( Tuesdays and Thursdays).
Is that such a bad thing? You got the Shit part right…
I’ve always hoped for a open-ended Ghostbusters game; one in which was played online via WoW. You could open franchises and battle all manner of villians from the movie, the video game and RGB. To me, that would be an awesome way to bring Ghostbusters to gamers—and I don’t even play games like WoW.
That would really open the possibilities up. Say you wanted to be a ghost instead of a buster?
Its obvious given all your posts about this video game that you do not like it. We know it.
However. I think you are being extremely ignorant to how this video game was being made. It wasn’t as if they were like Hey lets make a sequel to that last video game we made! Oh god we are ■■■■■■developers we couldn’t get the rights. Oh god we can’t figure out how to make it a 1st/3rd person game. Oh god we can’t charge $40 for this game anymore. I guess we’ll just put it out there for cheap.
NO.
This game was not designed to be a blockbuster follow up to the last game. It was not designed to have the likenesses of the actors. It was not intended to be a $30-$40 game from the start. Frankly your arguements and comments are the game are completely idiotic. Its a downloadable arcade game. It gives people more busting gameplay as a way to tide over their time until another video game comes out. The amount of complaining you are doing is like complaining that the Extreme Ghostbusters games for Gameboy weren’t good enough quality.
I can be in both columns of this argument. But at the same time, when it really COMES down to it. Its a GB game. Whats not to like. Yeah its a double stick, no the original cast isnt there, but really do we NEED to have the OG ghostbusters? I like seeing new takes on the GB’s. No it may not come out as good as the original, but at the same time you dont want to overplay the original. I dont think I’ll be d/l’ing this game, solely on the reason that I just dont play games like I did anymore. Most of my money in my GB budget is going to Matty an Props. So that 10 to me can go towards that bumper, or elbow pads, or Vince’s future Bill Murray shell. Kudos to those who are d/l’ing it and Kudos for those of you who arent and decided not shove it in everyones face.
As long as people are gonna praise this junk, Im gonna voice my opinion. Im not complaining just stating the obvious that people seem to keep ignoring just because someone slapped a GB logo onto a smash TV clone. I guess my point is if you can only make a sub-par game then why make it at all? Im not being ignorant and my comments about the game a completely valid based off what Ive seen so far. If you wanted to give the fans more busting action then why not release a multiplayer map pack or new DLC missions or release some of the levels that were cut from the original game?
