That would…be..awesome!!! I don’t play WoW either but I’d buy that! Hell they have Star Trek Online, and Disney has Pirates of the Carribean, why not Ghostbusters?
How is it an opinion when it is based on ignorance? Your opinion is full of flaws and failed logic. I’m trying to point that out to you.. but you have your fingers in your ears and are going NANNNNN NANNNNN not listening!
Stating the obivous? The obvious are the facts that this game is not a sequel, it is not a full video game, it is not a $60 game, it does not and will not have voice actors… etc. That’s the obvious. This is a SmashTV clone?
Who said this is sub-par?
I guess that is the only opinion you are expressing here. You think it is subpar BECAUSE its not $30-$40 or more. Because it isn’t a follow up sequel, because it doesn’t have the original voice actors. However.. that’s not what the creators set out to do. Why is this lost on you? This is an arcade downloadable game. You may have an idea of what you want to see out of a Ghostbusters Video Game (which we already got) but that is not what this game is about. Would you have complained if this were a DSi game? Probably. But its Apples and Oranges. This is not a full video game.
You can cry and cry about this game all you want. But those key obvious facts are not going to be changed. Make your opinion known directly to Atari by not buying this game.
Because the company that made the multiplayer levels doesn’t exist anymore.
Well, whether or not my opinion is based on “ignorance” as you stated, its still my opinion. Logic has nothing to do with it. An opinion is based off a feeling and from what Ive seen, read, and watched, I feel the game looks bad. You’re not gonna agree with me, Im not gonna agree with you. There’s nothing I can say to back up my opinion or describe why I think its sub-par without you spinning around and saying “bu bu its only $10.00 dolla…”, so there’s really no point in arguing. We’ll just wait till the game comes out and the threads start popping up about how bad the game play is or how awful the controls are.
You’re talking out your ass and calling it poetry, and I reserve the right to say so, on the basis of I know more about the subject than you ever will.
Atari barely made the first game. If they were cash rich, there were things that weren’t in the game that could have been. The fact is, they picked up a bargain because Activision decided it was going to be Guitar Hero forever. They got the game finished, promoted it to a middling amount, and scored a decent, but not incredible return.
Pumping out a second Ghostbusters game, for them, would have cost them more to make and risked lesser return - corporate-wise, more work for less return equals not interested. HOWEVER, they still had the rights, so yes, the one thing you got right is that they opted to make a much smaller game, with a more reasonable chance of a return. It was about the quick buck (like this somehow flies in the face of everything we know about corporations). Use cheaper team overseas, reuse assets for a fraction of the cost of the big game and aim it at a broader audience by giving it a lower price point and making it DDL only. No cost to box and ship required.
None of this has any bearing on if it’s a good game or not - basically, it’s a Smash TV clone using a licensed name, but not likenesses. It’s not exactly a world shattering design, it’s just meant to be fun for ten bucks for you and a few friends. You’re biggest complaint is that it’s not the game you want, regardless if the game you want makes any sense.
You can have your opinion. Doesn’t mean you know what you’re talking about. And it doesn’t mean that everyone that is interested in the game or is willing to reserve judgment until they actually play it is somehow blowing Howard Stringer. That’s kind of the point you’re missing - we’re tired of hearing your opinion over and over and we’re not exactly thrilled that you’ve decided this means we’re a bunch of sycophants.
Wow. Gameplay I can understand, if not agree, as we’ve seen the trailer. But you’ve already decided the controls suck… Well, you did say you’d based your opinion on feelings and not logic. Good luck with that by the way - I’m sure it will serve you well in life.
I dunno, a lot of people seemed to dislike the latest “Zelda” game when it came out for the Wii but I don’t think any of the purists were taking pitch forks to the others who didn’t like what they saw. No need to write reports on why people should like the game. I make my opinion on whether or not to watch a movie when I see previews for the movies because previews are what is supposed to sell the entertainment to the customer. We’ve seen more than enough of this game so far to make some judgements, and it’s not going to be as high as others around here.
Too bad. I never said your a “sycophant” for liking the game nor did I allude to it. Did my use of “Nerd Rage” offend you? People are entitled to their opinion and I’m merely posting why I’d pass on this one. The same way people are posting reasons why they can’t wait for it. To each his own I suppose.
Also just for record the way I form opinions when it comes to entertainment or video games is very different then how I form opinions on other topics in life. Similarly to the way you’ve made your opinion about me just because I don’t follow the popular opinion or agree with others’ comments in regards to this game.
You’re right, I’m not gonna buy it. All I’m doing is listing reasons why I’m not going to purchase the game in contrast to the reasons people are using to support buying it. Not trying to gripe or anything, but people seem to take personal offense if you disagree with their opinion for some reason. Last I checked this was an open discussion thread on a forum. If you don’t want negative comments or any comments for that matter, don’t allow posting in the thread. I like your spoiler although I think you meant it to read:
“If the game doesn’t appeal to you THEN DON’T COMMENT ABOUT IT!”
Yes, I saw that the first time you posted it. That’s not the case. What I said was I wouldn’t mind paying a little more ($30.00 - $40.00 ) for a higher quality game. I didn’t say I want all the features I described or all the features I feel the game is missing for $10.00. I suppose you’re right though, maybe having accurate GB equipment for a GB game and a decent texture package are too much to ask for an arcade game.
Again, that’s not what I said. Regardless if they set out to make a cheap game what I said was I wouldn’t mind paying a little more for a higher quality game. Not really sure how to make that any more clearer than I already have. “Get it” now?
