This is my custom designed Slime Cannon, a modernized version of the Slime Blower from Ghostbusters 2.
Let me know what you think as I will be making another one of these in the near future…
Thanks for looking!

Looks great!
Love custom gear, always fun to see.
Absolutely amazing. Your work is incredible, and seeing all the props you’ve done is seriously making me want to make some GB gear.
Thanks for the feedback, glad you find it inspiring. Making your own stuff is very rewarding as many here will tell you. However, the greatest single piece of advice would be: patience. Don’t rush things. Take your time and gather parts slowly, take a couple trips to Lowe’s, Home Depot, Wal-mart, the dollar store, etc. Just browse and everytime you look at something imagine what piece it might make on a prop.
I’ve started publishing build guides for equipment such as my Ecto Goggles Build Guide on http://www.firebladecomics.com in the Guides & Downloads section. I will probably do one for the PKE soon. Sometimes it’s good to study other people’s work to get some ideas.
Thanks for all the advice, I’ll definitely check those guides out.
Dude, that’s cool as hell!
wow thats great! care to share what were some of the main component pieces? awesome work.
The two main slime tanks (black tanks with hazard stripe) are just 4 inch PVC tubes with PVC caps. The smaller, silver tanks are actually two 1 liter bottles attached end to end and with the threading on one end shortened (the end with the lights) and the other end removed. Hot glue joined the bottles and bondo, wood filler, and spackling paste were used to fill the connecting seam until it was, well, seamless. The middle section top part is a Black & Decker upright mini vac, while the bottom rectangle is a towel dispenser. The console is actually from a defibulator, and the silver fan below it is from the vac. The cannon is also 4 inch tubing with 4inch-to-2inch reducing couplers on each end. The barrel of the cannon is a Brita water filter, while the handle is also from the vac. The slime in the Aggitation Chamber is Green Apple Shampoo, while the slime in the Slime Line wrapping the split loom is a green mouthwash.
Think that about covers it, got any more questions then fire away…
Do you guys have any pictures from the build process? Any designs for someone else to try to fallow and build?
Unfortunately, no. The way I usually design something is entirely in my head. I’ll just lay parts out on the floor and start putting them together in my mind. Once I’ve made something more than once I start to get a system down, which is why after about 10 pairs of Ecto Goggles I finally made a build guide to show how I put them together, more-or-less. I’m about at that same point with the PKE Meters I make.
I don’t take any “work-in-progress” pics either because that slows the process so much. However, I am planning to build another Slime Cannon along the same lines as the way I did this one so I guess I should document it and post it as a guide to help others. Are you looking for general building tips or do you want to make one similar to mine?
I was thinking similar because I am VERY impressed with the design and I figured it would go well with the Slime Blower I am building now.
Well thank you, you’ve given me extra encouragement to make my Slime Cannon ver2 a higher priority and shoot some how-to guide photos along the way.
That would be cool to see. Good Luck on the Ver. 2
