Not Quite Right Slime Blower

I started out with the intention of making a ■■■■■■■■■■■■ Pack to wear at NYCC. The short version is I suck at electronics and could not get the lighting to work. With a week before the, Con I changed gears and went for a Slime Blower instead. A few trips to some Dollar Stores, Ollie’s and Lowes and I had my parts to build a “Tainted Slime Love Blower”…or is it a “■■■■■■■■■■■■ Slime Blower”? Here’s the recipe:

Red Spray, Green Water Bottle and Tire Gauge from the Dollar Store. 2 Left Handed Batter’s Guard from Ollie’s Discount, PVC Fittings and Electrical Box from Lowes.

Add to that some Slime in a Tube, a Large Drinking Bottle. Plastic Goblet top and an Egg Cooker End Piece. Slice some PVC tube for the intakes.

Throw in some Black Gloves from another Dollar Store and Split Loom from Home Depot, mix in some Super Glue, Screws, Resin Putty, some crappy Chrome Spray Paint that refuses to dry and only 4 nights to build and you get something like this:

The idea was to have the Slime Tubes interchangable to pop in and out from the Coupling. Lack of planning and poor time management has the Pink Slime Tube glued into place. The extra Slime should have been attached by loops on my Belt, but that didn’t happen, either.

I was going to use all 3 “Tanks” but that proved to be too bulky so I went with one each color. I intended to put in some Toggle Switches on the Box so you could go from “Mist” to “Spray” to “Tether”. Didn’t happen. I did manage to meld a GB Logo onto the Elbow portion of the Arm Guard.

I have some random close-ups to upload later.

Saw this in person at NYCC, and it was awesome. Really impressive for such a fast build, and a really fun idea.

Nice work, man!

Those slime cartridges are super cool! And the use of those aluminum water bottles is brilliant. I might have to remember that for later.

All these new pack designs are killin’ me. They’re so great. Nice job, Capt!

Thanks for the comments! You do realize that all these “Not Quite Right” builds I’m doing will eventually show up in Ghostbusters 3, and be credited to Videobob as designer.

Here are the close-ups; tip of the Slime Thrower first.

Logo is next, I made it using 2 part Resin Putty mashed into one of my figure stand molds and taped the whole thing over the existing Logo on the Arm Shield so it followed the curve. Did a quick paint-up to resemble the Video Game version.

I painted over the lettering on the Gauge, it said something like “Utility, Automotive and Bicycle”. The Couplings on the Tanks are made from 2 part Putty.

Last bit is the Foil and Decal Label on the Tank. Thank you Valentino_42 for making your Labels available for everyone to use!

Very cool mate! Looks like something that would compliment a proton pack wearing buster to help make him more diverse in the field - love it!

Man this is cool! Id love to see Capt take on a video game pack build. He’d get the details right for sure.

Great idea, consider it stolen lol.

Would love to see some pics of you wearing it.

Cool, have fun with it.

Usually I’m the guy with the camera, so I’m not in a lot of the pictures. Here’s one I borrowed from Funk’s post on the NYCC thread. I should have worn my Goggles instead of the hat.
