Ghostbusters: The Video Game Equipment List

Its clearly not styled after the MT500.

The MT500 was only used in Ghostbusters. In GB2 I am fairly certain they didn’t even have radios..

In the game, 7 years have passed and they got a newer radio. (But can anyone confirm if the MT2000 line was even around back then?)

well looking it up the MT2000 line seems to have come out somepoint around 91-93

Anyone find cheap MT2000 or am I looking in the wrong places? $90+ on eBay, radio forums range between $150-$200+. Even the refurbish kit which included the radio case, decals, knobs, and a few other plastic pieces is $66+ shipping.

That’s what I found as well, not going to be a cheap radio to get ahold of.

with dealing with the radio that is attached to the ■■■■■■■■ the alice frame. it is NOT an MT 500. i know this to be a fact since terminal reality is literally 5 min away and im good friends with them. its the motorola 2 way radio that came out in 1992. the model escapes me at the moment. since the game’s timeline is 1991 they made some modifications to the radio and said that “egon tweaked it to serve their purpose”

Just a quick note:

The cover of the game has the Ghostbusters firing proton streams from the slime blower nozzles. Don’t be too quick to use the cover as a canon reference picture.

Hey guys maybe I can help settle this debate.

The radio in the game is based off of the Motorola HT 1000 but we had to change the logo and identification numbers to be safe (because of legal reasons). The logo on there now is one I invented (my initials) and the number we came up with has significance as well. NVMMB 1940 was chosen in honor of the engineering team that developed the walkie-talkie in 1940. Each letter belongs to the last name of one of the 5 people involved.

These images should help:

Mystery Solved! Haha! Thanks so much Ian, and thanks for the link! I really like your model work for Kinect Star Wars as well.

And here are photos of my HT1000 modded radios with labels based on Ian’s artwork - thanks Ian!
