I am trying to arrange Ghostbusters to be played at the Prince Charles Cinema in Liecester Square, London.
I have spoken to a member of staff who will pitch the idea to the General Manager of the cinema but she would need some kind of leverage or proof that this show will be a missive hit.
I have mentioned that some may attend in costume to draw more attention to the scene which she has acknowledged as a good idea. Im just wondering who would be interested in coming?
As obviously it would cost the cinema a lot of money to show the movie, and they would like to see a return on it. I know about 10 people who would attend. If you can we need big nmbers for this!!
Cool… Well I was hoping for a better reaction than this honestly… I might even see how much it is to rent the cinema for a private showing. As I would love to see it on the big screen, obviously not as many people as I thought share my passion… Ha
It’s tough to put a screening together. We worked with a theater to set one up last year and we thought it went very well but they didn’t give us a reason for not doing it again this year. I’ve gone to several theaters over the last few months and they want us to rent a theater and then also cover the cost of the movie. Then we can collect donations for a charity. Just the theater rental alone was $2000 over here.
I wish you the best because it is awesome to see it in a theater no matter how many times you’ve seen it, and especially when you know you helped it get shown.
Me and my friend would Def be up for it and in full costume as well. After the reception we got for the two packs I built Friday night we would def be there and in costume!!
Were only in the west of London anyway so travel will be easy. Love to go up town on the tube in full costume!! That would just be so cool!!
Well it all counts on whether the Cinema decide to let us have another show of it. Since the first showing sold out VERY quickly then hopefully they should consent.
