Lawrence
My tickets was booked today ![]()
only a fiver
YES!
ive always wanted to go watch it at a cinema. looks like i wont be able 2 make it though :sigh:
Very tempting… I’ll have to see how my schedule plays out for that Monday.
Would you believe it!
I’m actually in London that day on a training course, bad news is my trains been booked back to Leicester by my work at 6:30 ![]()
I’ll see if I can get around it
Oh yes. I’ll be there! Going to book tix momentarily!
Just bought my ticket today. I missed the October showing because I didn’t know about the Prince Charles Cinema at the time. It’s great to find a place that shows old films. I found another place on the South Bank (British Film Institute) that’s currently showing Stanley Kubrick films. 2001 and Full Metal Jacket must be absolutely amazing on the big screen. I now need to find somewhere that shows the Alien films.
Any specific meeting point for tomorrow?
See y’all there!
I think im going to get some dinner in China Town first. Probably be at the PCC about 8.30?
So… Who’s going then?
Lawrence
Figures that once again I cannot attend.
Have a blast, guys.
How was it, guys? Was the print better this time?
It was great!! The print wasnt that good to be honest. skipped a few times. But I’m glad they showed the original cinema release rather than the DVD version. I havnt seen that edit before so it was good for me. I also heard some score parts that I havn’t heard in the DVD, so could have been modified there too.

It was great ![]()
Atmosphere was amazing, people laughing/clapping lots
GB2 pls !
It was fantasic! A great atmosphere, and great to met Andy an Lawrence again, but the only let down was the quality of the print and it did skip quite often.
Gutted I couldn’t make it ![]()
I was in London all day but had to get the train home at 6:30, as work had booked it and I was with colleagues, I asked if anyone wanted to go but they all looked at me like I was nuts or something
Do they show it often?
I was there. I was the one with the funny blonde hair in the suede jacket. I have to say I was bitterly disappointed when the film skipped over the Zuul scene.
As you probably remember, it was also the premier of The Boat that Rocked. While I was watching all the build-up, a complete stranger came up to me and offered me a spare ticket. If it had been any other film than Ghostbusters, I would probably have shrugged it off and gone to the Premier, but as it was, I was on the verge of fulfilling a lifelong childhood dream and nothing could have kept me away from the Prince Charles Cinema.
Let’s hope they show a GB 1 and 2 double-bill in the near future.
ffs I missed all this. My tinterweb’s been down for the last fortnight.
Hopefully GB2 will be shown.
Did anyone go in costume?
No, but I wore a GB shirt.
