I’m a bit new to the GB boards but not to prop building. I have done a bit with Star Wars so I know the commitment and $ it takes to do a project right.
My question is to all you experts out there.
What is a good proton pack shell to go with. I see a few on eBay from loveusmokey and wanted to see what people thought them and this seller?

A good place to start is looking in the feedback section, there you will find many varied reviews of various sellers - which can help you form an impartial opinion about which seller might be best for you.

The only real problem as I posted with loveusmokey’s pack shell is that it is made of pure resin. It seems sturdy enough but one mishap and it could spell disaster. There is another topic posted by Governor regarding his experiences with a pure resin HGA. I suggest reading it and making your own judgement as to whether or not a pure resin pack shell is right for you. Solid resin pieces are one thing but hollow resin is another, especially when it comes to a part that is going to see its share of stress and abuse. Now, if the pack is purely for decoration you have nothing to worry about with loveusmokey’s pack shell. A few people here have them and really like them but I returned mine not wanting to take the risk of seeing what happens when it is dropped or manhandled.
IMO, the best pack shells out there are going to be made of fiberglass with a resin gel coat. While they are not for sale yet, Exoray is working on a fiberglass shell as we speak. If you are new to the GB scene, his parts are top notch IMHO and I have no reason to believe the pack shells will be any different once they are completed. A few pop up now and again from other sellers, but make sure you pay attention to what material(s) the shell is made from. Packs have been known to get bumped and dropped so you want to go with something decently sturdy in case these things should happen to yours.
