Greetings from Australia

Hello. My name is Shawn and despite the fact that I live in Australia, I am an American. Costuming is a hobby of mine and attempting ghostbuster suit seems like a fun project. I own a full set of stormtrooper armor, a couple different sets of jedi robes, a set of wizard robes, and two Santa Claus suits (one full custom).

I’m mostly into Star Wars, though I enjoy Indiana Jones stuff, reading, and drawing. my interests constantly evolve and I like dabbling in different subjects. Particularly various costumes.

I found Ghostbusters Fans through the RPF forums. I was browsing through a thread there about the creation of a PKE meter and saw mention of Ghostbusters Fans in that thread. I’ve liked Ghostbusters since I was a kid and I used to watch the cartoon regularly. I still play The Real Ghostbusters board game when I get my wife to play with me. After I browsed through this website it all looked pretty interesting to me and so I registered. This ought to be fun.

Hey Nassik, welcome to the forums. There’s a few other Aussie 501st guys around at the moment, too, GB is really gaining popularity down here in the cosplay world.

Santa? SANTA? Santa is here??? : P

Welcome! That’s great that you are into GB stuff now.

Welcome to the threads. Good to have more Australians on board.

Where abouts are you living?

Despite a long bout of silence I’m still around. I’ve bought a flight suit, a pair of Corcoran 995 side zip boots, a belt, my name and no ghost patches, and a MT-500.

Some of those things have yet to be delivered but they’ll get here. Heeding the advice of a few other WA ghostbusters, I’ve opted for the Tru-Spec khaki flight suit.

I’ve been in contact with a couple of folks to buy my belt key fobs, leg hose, and a MT-500 holster.

Considering the time, work, and investment involved I’ve chosen to assemble my uniform first.
