I’m Chris. I’m a musician and teacher. Sometimes I build things for fun, whether they’re furniture or not-furniture. Usually out of wood. Sometimes out of other stuff.
When I was a kid my sis and I had a VHS copy of Ghostbusters we had recorded from television with our massive VCR. We literally wore that tape out. For dating/authentication purposes: I remember there was a commercial for the NEW McBLT, complete with a song-and-dance. And also I think a commercial where a sad girl next to a frozen lake was accosted by a very tall clown named Ronald McDonald and they proceeded to figure skate or something.
Ok, this intro is getting away from me.
Ghostbusters has always occupied and will always occupy a special place in my heart. I watched the Real Ghostbusters as a kid too, and cheered when they defeated the Boogey Man. Cuz screw that guy —> ![]()
I recently acquired a Nomex flight suit at a surplus place on a whim (a very strong whim that struck me as soon as I saw the thing, just hanging there) and am now plunging in by joining what is, from what I can tell, a kickass community of kickass folks.
The way movies like this were made (basically out of random stuff) enchants me and I can’t wait to tap into some of that old movie magic with all you folks.
