Well I’ve searched and searched, can’t fine no V hooks, NOTHING! :evil: So I hope some one on here can help. Does any one know were I can buy a hook for my proton pack! Thanks for any help you can give me.
Haveyou tried the for sale section?! I think there are people doing runs on them…if not, do what I did, buy the dixi cup holders. the best alternative that you could have next to the actual v-hooks.

If you want the cheap “dixie” cup holder alternate version I have them for $5 shipped within the US… Or you can search this forum an buy them direct but they have a $10 shipping charge…
on gbproject.com it looks as though the v-hooks were manufactured by those guys. i cant really tell though. that site seems to leave a lot to the imagination
I think I found the actual v-hooks, or at least a good imitation. Going on a hunch from an earlier thread that the original hooks were used for holding those slow moving vehicle signs on farm equipment, I went to TSQ store in town. I showed them a picture of the hooks I printed off and told them what it’s used for, (it’s original purpose, not GB purpose) and they showed me this thing called Hardware For SMV Emblem thing. The female part of it is a nearly identical match to the female part of the v-hooks but the male part is much longer than it’s GB counterparts, however it can be cut down to size. I’ll post some pics later as I’m in a hurry to leave for lunch.
yah, i just looked up the smv mounting bracket myself. i can find the female part online, but not the male. i suppose i could fabricate something… thanks for the lead though.

Ok, I’m back and here are the pics I promised.
The first one is the female bracket next to male attachment. The second one is a close up of both parts. And the third is how they fit together. I admit the male attachment is much longer than needed, but I’m sure it can be cut to the right length. The whole package even came with nuts and bolts that could be used to mount this onto the pack or even the trap holder. The stock number for this is #57BP. Just ask for SMV mounting hardware. Hope this helps some people.
And just in case anyone is curious as to what the generic “dixie” alternative looks like…

I forgot to mention the mounting hardware came at a very cheap price. $5.00. So I got two; one for the pack and one for the trap.
They are $1 a set direct from the company with $10 shipping…
I purchased a few extra sets so I’m letting them go for $5 shipped in the US hardly a profit for me when you consider the shipping box (new), shipping, paypal fees and initial cost/shipping… I might be making about a $1 a set profit for my trouble…
here’s a question for Exoray’s part… since everyone calls these dixie cup holder hooks… do they come packaged with something from dixie?
The are cup holder brackets so yes they come with cup holders, can’t say if they come with any current model “Dixie” brand cup holder tough…
yeah i was trying to take it off the water cooler at work and it’s on there pretty tight. I wasn’t going to take it, just look at it. I think I might be able to do some mods on it.
I used the dixie cup holders on my pack and they work great! It’s definitely a good substitute for the V hook.
Can you them from a hardware store? Like Home Depot? Or Lowes? :?
I don’t know for sure, but off hand, I would say probably not.
I haven’t seen them at either home depot or lowes…doesn’t mean they don’t carry them, I just haven’t seen them with my 2 eyes here in AZ
