What kind of props are you guys using for Halloween this year? I’ve decided to make some of mine.
i was going to finsh my egb pack but some jackass stole my skill saw so it at a stand still for now so im just going to go in my suit for now sadly ![]()
This year I’m hoping to go as a 1930s/turn of the century mad scientist, so lab coat, period glasses, gloves and shirt, shoes, trousers etc.
I know we’ve all seen those t-shirts with the tuxedo printed on them, or the Inmate numbers…heck even the superhero emblems. How cool would it be to have a shirt printed with a proton pack on the back? Yeah, it wouldn’t be to scale, but there would be a market for such a thing since “retro is go” right now…at least among folks like us; and it would make a neat, if inexpensive costume. Better than those shirts that say “This IS My Costume.”
This year I will be going as a penniless groom–since I’m getting married on the 27th back home in Ohio.
I will be going out with the kids this year as “V”

“Remember…remember the fifth of November”
As far as props goes, I have a bunch of custom Mad scientist panels made for decoration

In regards to the proton pack T-shirt I both love and hate those cheap costume ideas. They can work if they are clever but a lot of them aren’t. I remember when I was little my dad would take us trick-or-treating and he would carry around a baseball bat. If anyone asked him what he was he would just tell them he was Batman. It was the stupidest idea ever but he had the attitude to pull it off. I guess it’s the people that makes the costume.
Mad scientist seems to be popular this year. I’m going for a Graveyard Massacre.
Irricanian, words failed me when I looked at that V costume. You’ve got some very, very lucky kids.
It’s that or a I go as Shaun from Shaun of the Dead… not completely impossible, but I’d need to mock up a nametag (I have the graphic, but not the plastic) and find a close enough red tie…
…then hope that the night of Oct 26th isn’t freezing.
It doesn’t get much scarier than a plague doctor. This was my main choice for a costume this year, but now I’m not so sure. It’s plenty creepy, but nobody would know what I was. I’ve got everything I need to make the costume but to most people I’d just look like a guy in a black robe with a crude penguin mask.
Sounds boring, but I’m going as a Ghostbuster. I’m taking my son around, and he’s a Ghostbuster, too. That’s how the whole prop building thing started, actually. : )
This will also be my first year in full GB gear.Didn’t make it in time last year.
This year I am going to wear a new Domino’s Oreo desert pizza mustache. It’s cheap. I will, with no doubt, sport my GB gear this season, I just hate to wear it to crowded night spots because it has a tendency to get beat up in tight crowds.
