Began modding my Halloween Costumes PKE, and I want to upgrade the LEDs to something more accurate than the green ones included. Will these work?
I used similar LEDs when I modded mine (it was actually part of a complete rebuild of the electronics, almost nothing original remains).
Just make sure you buy the “warm white” LEDs, the standard/cool white ones won’t look as good. You can also go with yellow.

Yep, I went with the flat top ones! Hoping I can get the arms to connect more tightly than when it first arrived. There was a massive gap with the seam between the two arm halves, so I might have to widen the holes for the LEDs.
Couldn’t you just sand the rounded bit of the LED flat?
Maybe, I just don’t want to. XD
The flat ones are easy enough to get, and I think they just arrived. I’m gonna start work on removing the green ones, and soldering on the new ones. I also need to re-wire the connections for the right sequence.
