I’m after some info regarding the hat lights on the thrower before I order mine from the shop. I’m building a resin thrower using one of nick a trons kit and trying to get it as close to screen accurate as possible. I know I need a orange hat light for the gun ear and a white hat light to go on the gun box step. Do I need an orange or white to go next to the vent on the gun box as I’ve seen pics of packs people have built with both colours. Which us the correct colour to use.
Also do I need to order the sockets for the hat lights as well and how many of them do I need
It depends on which thrower you are trying to replicate. Most throwers had a white near the vent. The “super hero” thrower in gb1 had an orange hat light. As for the sockets. I believe the only spot needed for one is for the light near the clippard. Even then I think it was just the GB1 hero’s that had that. I may have missed something but that is pretty much as I understand it.

The sony hero is the only pack to have 2 orange hatlights as previously mentioned
All packs for GB1 (aluminum guns) & GB2 (semi hero fiberglass guns), not including stunt foam packs, used 2 whites and 1 orange.
The orange hatlight uses a socket on the tip without use of the nut used to panel mount it.
The white hatlight on the step underneath the front knob uses a socket as well secured with the nut.
The white hatlight next to the vent is pushed through from the inside on aluminum guns and may or may not have a socket on it but it’s …possible.
On GB2 semi hero packs that lens is installed from the outside and the whole lens is seen due to it being a fiberglass thrower. That was merely glued in place.
