Hi all,
John from there UK here, just posting up my intro note. I’ve been a big fan of GB since it came out, when I pestered my Dad to take me to the cinema to see it. Well I’m 33 now (34 tomorrow as it happens!) and after years of thinking about it I’ve decided to get off my butt and make a Proton Pack and Trap etc.
I’ve been into props for over 10 years now and been a member of the 501st UK Garrison since 1999. Some of you may know me from one of my websites: www.romfx.com - I’ve been making mostly Predator stuff the last few years and some RoboCop bits too. I also did some work on the last series of Doctor Who last year, which I was very proud of. You can see some of my work here: www.yourmovecreep.co.uk
More about me, I’m married with two kids, living in Reading in the UK. I love props, films and costuming. My other hobbies are magic and Radio Control Cars, mostly Tamiya stuff but also Losi and Traxxas kits and I also do a bit of film and TV extra work on the side. I love gadgets and shiny collectible things, so yes, still a big kid at heart
I’m looking forward to getting started on my Proton Pack, and I’m sure I’ll be back posting here for help and tips soon.
Cheers,
John
