I’m, 23, and live in Canada. I’ve been a GB fan since I was about 10 or so, when I first watched this movie on a VHS. My favorite Ghostbuster will always be Stantz. 
I discovered this site due to me wanting to build my own Proton Pack/Thrower in time for Halloween this year. I have my costume part of it done (it was a pre bought one modified).
Hope I can meld into the community here and gain as much knowledge as I can about building, not to mention keeping it within a decent budget

You should be able to locate all you’ll need for assembling your own Pack.
You are very wise to start now–building a pack can be an involved project. I wish you luck!

Welcome! Are you building (cutting and gluing) or assembling (buying made parts)? Just curious…I’m neck deep in building at the moment!

Well, that’s what I’m trying to figure out. I intend to build it myself, not out of pre made parts, but hopefully out of simple items I can find anywhere (like a dollar store) that I can just put together to make it look as real as possible before Halloween. I’d like it to be as sturdy as possible without breaking the budget.
Know where I can start?

Ohh thats cool to know. I may consider going there. I have the costume ready, it’ll be just getting the pack done in time for the 31st. It was pre bought and I added a STANTZ patch to the front of it. I also have my own Goggles that I made myself.
