Help with Nomex sizing please :-/

Well I’ve read all the different sizing threads and am more confused than when I first started.

I definitely want to get a nomex style suit opposed to the tru-spec and others. so one decision down, lol

My issue lies in size charts I’ve found not only here but other websites

My measurements are as follows:

44" chest with lungs full of air (largest point)

36-38" Waist (pant size)

32" Inseam (pant size)

6’3" Tall

225-230lbs

I was going to pick up a 46L flight suit as people were saying 46 is the size of the chest, so I figured a size or so up to allow for me to wear a shirt under and to still be comfortable. Then I came across the sizing charts here and it looks more like I should be a 42L.

Which is is? 42L or 46L? or something completely different? LOL Ive found a few on ebay and they go from 30-80ish and I don’t want to win an auction only to have to return it because the size is wrong.

If anyone with similar dimensions can please chime in I would appreciate it! Thank you

i have a 47 chest and i have a 50R and its perfect …got with the 46 or even 48 if you want a sloppy venkman look

Higgs, based on this you need a 46L.

thanks! Glad I got some help before buying that 42L i was bidding on on ebay, now to find someone selling a 46L, probably a little more difficult lol

amsurplus89 is an eBay seller who regularly has decent nomex suits at good prices.

yea i’ve actually been in touch with him a few times and keeping track of when suits are added, hopefully they’ll add one soon, i’ve already ordered all of my other stuff short of boots and an actual pack
