Hi all, hope your all well, ive just finished building my first proton pack. well nearly, all i need is the gun mount bracket!!! I know it says contact CPU64 about these, but how do i contact him? cant find him on here anywhere.

The question was not where to get a gun bracket, but how to contact CPU64. There are probably some people who don’t want a dixie cup bracket which is why the alternative you posted was passed up.
I did a search for CPU64 on here using that nifty little feature you pointed out and nothing comes up about contact info. I don’t mean to be an @$$ either but you seem so focused on ranting and raving about the search that you failed to address the actual question.
As far as contacting CPU64, I don’t have any information for that username. Hopefully someone that has the information will chime in here.
If CPU64 still makes these brackets, he does so in secret. He’s no longer active with making Ghostbusters stuff as far as I can tell. I’m betting that you got his name from reading Norm Gagnon’s plans, which were made in 2001.
For the bracket that connects the gun and pack, most folks just use a Dixie Cups hook, which Irricanian (a member here) sells.
i realize that, but if a search for “gun mount” would have been done, he would, and tripleh913, have found alternet answers. look, every one is a newb to this at some point. when i first started, a couple of years back, i tried finding cpu64 and couldnt. but i kept looking and found out about dixie cup brackets (which i didnt want because they are inaccurate) are really all that is available unless some one like namebrand does a custom run of these parts. and now that i reread my post i realize when i edited it, i accidently took a part out which was giving credit to tripleh913 and matt here for getting to the end of their packs before needing help. sorry about that matt, and tripleh if you read this

you know, its a wonder that noobs even come here at all. I’m suprised that they dont get intimidated and look for their shit elsewhere. im not against newbs despite what it may sound like. but there are many newbs, bigi71 is the first that comes to mind, that do the research and find the answers they are looking for by searching for them. and yeah, i was a bit harsh, which i apologize for; but im not the only “vet”, nor do i really consider myself to be one either, that this gets old for. this is the thread topic about gun mounting on this first page of threads alone.
anyways, back to matt.
so you know, that particular bracket is also called the v-hook. and again i say to you… its not nice to tell and not show. no one likes a tease. looking forward to seeing it. also, despite what i sounded like earlier (again, i apologize), im not one of those to rip apart a person’s prop on how it looks or doesnt look. i never have and never will.

Yes I have a bunch of “Dixie hooks” available which although inaccurate are a good option for proppers on a budget or at least to get you by until someone (nudge,nudge Namebrand) is gratious enough to do another run of the real machined V-hooks
Ahem, sorry 2 be an ass, but the search wasnt working and i found out about cpu64 with the gun mount cus it says it on Norms Pack plans 4 the gun mount!!! thanx all, remind me never to ask for help again!!! people do come new to this you now, we all started sum1 once.

Just find Exoray. He can sell you a generic dixy cup holder which is like the bracket and he sales those for $5 including the shipping!
