The stunt pack was as simple as possible, had the basic shape, and some lights. The hero pack is pretty much just THE ‘Proton Pack’, and all the information on that exists here on the site. Do you want to build your own stunt pack or something? This isn’t a die hard question most of us had been wanting to know, thus why I scratch my head at why your making this into such an issue. The info Crix posted should be satisfactory.

Agreed. Also, you can go to the Equipment tab and look at reference pics of the proton packs. Basically the foams packs look like ■■■■ that someone put together on a budget and the hero packs are the ones well put together, granted the abuse they went through.

Yes we all start out as noobs, but people will always warm to you if you have done some of the work first, hese the “search function”.Even if you are unable to dig up much, a better way of posting would have been, " hey guys I’m been searching through the forums on hero packs vs stunt packs and all I can find are these links..(insert links here) having read these I’m curious about (put curious question here) can anybody enlighten me on a few more details?
So true. I had no idea that the proton pack had “parts,” let alone actual names even though I know everything about Ghostbusters as far as the movie itself was concerned.
I stumbled upon great proton pack builds my first few days as a member here and found out SOOO much, it gave me the confidence to build my own pack. I found alot of great little details about how to build the proton pack and it only took a little time here and there to actually read what people had to say.
Here’s an analogy for you. Say your question was:

You’re expecting the answer to be:
and that would be the end of it. Simple, takes 2 seconds for someone who knows to tell you and you can go about your merry way. However the real answer is:
and those are just a small fraction of the possible answers to the question. What we’re trying to point out to you is that you need to become more educated in the subject (IE: pigs) so you can ask a specific question (IE: is this woman I’m dating a pig?). Someone here could take the time to look through all the available information, organize it into an easily readable summary that includes all sorts of topics in which you may or may not actually be interested in and then spoon feed it to you in a 25-part youtube webseries narrated by Harold Ramis or you could just go look it up yourself.
There’s no “hidden” information (well, there is but let’s not go there) pretty much everything known is on this website somewhere. It’s not like we’re asking you to trek to a tibetian temple on top of a mountain and spend 3 years purifying your soul before we teach you the mysteries of the fandom. Just that you spend some time answering your own questions.
You say you don’t have time, I rejoinder by saying if you truely cared you’d make time. Unless someone has a gun to your head saying “learn everything there is to know about proton packs in 2 weeks or else!” why can’t you take it a bit at a time and actually read what’s already been said? You seem to have plenty of time to bitch that people aren’t helping you.
