My question is this: Do khaki/tan flight suits made of poly cotton with a herringbone weave actually exist? Or were they made custom for the second movie uniforms?
As far as I remember reading - the suits made for the second movie (by flightsuits.com/Gibson & Barnes) were made with studio provided material. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong. If you’re looking to recreate it you’ll probably need to talk to G&B and see if they will make you a flightsuit out of your own material (then you’ll have to find the material, which could be difficult as well) - I hope it works out for you! Keep us updated!

Well, I emailed flightsuits.com almost 3 weeks ago and they don’t seem to want my money.
So I have no idea how to get one of these suits,
if anyone has a suggestion I sure would appreciate any help I can get.
Was it a herringbone pattern?
Cythusly was correct about that.. That is how FlightSuits.com has been saying it all this time.

The only reason I didn’t think it was a herringbone was because of those vertical stripes running down the suit.. but like you showed that is created by the pattern.
Try emailing them again. I’ve purchased two uniforms from them (a year apart) and never had any trouble getting help.
Den, I’d keep looking for material - especially in local markets - and keep bugging the crap out of G&B. If you’re looking for a flightsuit with the correct material I would say good luck, it’ll be next to impossible, but the coveralls look pretty close.
I’m going to look into this eventually - but with 4 pack and uniform builds on my plate right now that need to be done before Halloween with school/homework and a job all interfering with my time invested I’m SOL on working on my second uniform.

I re-emailed http://www.flightsuits.com and got an immediate reply from their assistant sales manager confirming that they did in fact make the costumes for Ghostbusters 2. I am now waiting to hear back from them on whether or not they would be willing to make one for me…

Did you hear anything? I make Star Wars flight suits, but I doubt I could make the GB suit within a decent budget, with all the zippers and pockets on the thing! How much does G & B charge?
