Hey There......

Hey everyone I’m Jim a long time Ghostbusters fan from western MA. I’ve loved the Ghostbusters from the first time I ever saw the movie but have always been busy and not able to really get into making my own stuff. One day I would like to build my own pack but so I’m happy that there are so many people here with great input and ideas.I’m really looking forward to learning any tips and tricks from everyone.

Welcome aboard, Jim.

Hopefully you’ll get to realise that dream of yours, and when the time comes you should be able to find all the information you seek here.

Welcome to the boards Jim!!

My time will come… I’ve been looking into GB stuff all day trying to find a good build to start with. I’ve done things like building & painting Warhammer 40k models so I have some painting skills. my scratch building skills will need some work though.

Everyone has to start somewhere. I never worked with fiberglass before I joined this forum, now I have used it multiple times. Ask because of the good peeps here.

Welcome, Jim!

If you want to scratch build the pack, you should try Stefan’s plans. Not the most accurate, but most ppl won’t be able to tell the difference and I found them to be good to work with when I had never done anything like that before.

But if you’re short on time and have enough money, go with a fiberglass shell. I heard they’re really easy to start with. And some of the members here, sell really good ones.

I think I’m gonna go with the fiberglass shell they look really good and seem like it might make my life a little easier in the long run.

Thank you all for the warm welcome

Welcome Jim.

If you’re looking for a fiberglass shell, I’ve got a pretty awesome one available!

Of course the most important thing to do is your research, and in particular, check out the Feedback forum:

Thanks AJ I was actually looking at your shell… just need to save up some cash first.
