Hi from NJ!....

Wow, what a great and informative site! I especially love the sections on creating authentic uniforms, gadgets and gear!

I grew up in the 80s and saw GB1 in the movies just before I entered 9th grade. Many great movies came out around that time like the John Hughes’ films and Robert Zemeckis’ Back to the Future. But none were more appealing to me than Ghostbusters! For me it was the perfect combination of laughs, screams, inside jokes and cool gadgets!

I now have a 6 year old and she has discovered GB but I will say, there are some parts where I need to cover her eyes!!

We have decided that we are going to dress as the Ghostbusters for Halloween which is how I found this site. I am very meticulous and have already ordered patches and even an alice pack! My dad is a carpenter and offered to help with some of the wood work so we have a little more than a month to put together my first Proton Pack (any and all tips are welcome and appreciated!) and I am waaaay into gadgets and gear!!!

I am now so intrigued by this site that I am thinking about contacting the local GB chapter (if there is even one…)

Thanks a lot and see you on the site!!

What part of jersey are you from?

I was originally from Voorhees, Camden County and now live in central Jersey near Hamilton Twp.

Josh and Bellasdaddy, you guys are from Jersey and with all the Ghostbusters jokes at the expense of Jersey you guys are still Ghostheads? Lol

Aside from the congestion, traffic, crime, taxes and high insurance rates, NJ is one of the best kept secrets!!

Hey Al, ever go to Frank Pepe’s in Yonkers?

I can’t say I have. Do you recommend it? Plus I’ll most likely relocate to the Lehigh Valley, I have a home there very close to Dorney Park.

I have never been to the one in Yonkers but I have been to the one at Mohegan Sun. It was great. Best pizza I ever had!

Lehigh Valley is a great place too. I am looking into Macungie.

Bellasdaddy, my father and I have been co-owners of a home on Wescosville in Macungie since 2003, it’s a great place to live, quite, safe and beautiful. That’s my real home, I love New York but the peace I find in Pennslyvania is awsome.

Cool!! What a small world!
