I have always been a fan of Ghostbusters and this year as Part of the Cancer Societies Relay for life in Wellington four of us decided that the Ghostbusters would be the theme to run around the track in. We based all our designs initially from observing the movie as we only wanted these to be a fair representations as we were unsure what the weather would be like. Trying to find four of everything was a real job on its own let alone finding parts that looked right
The final products were way above what we expected, it took us a total of six weekends to complete all four and most of the work was done by my father with me assisting. On his scavenge for parts he took one of the guns into Weta Workshop and they offered him a job, go figure, unfortunately it was only part time and he still needs to work for a living.
The packs were a huge success and since then have been worn them at Pulp Expo in Wellington and I have worn mine to a work function.Everyone is in awe. We hope to be waring improved versions at Pulp Expo in Auckland in October.
