Those darn kids!
I feel your pain buddy. My almost 2 year old decided to topple over my skeleton that has all my uniform stuffs on it. It broke my ecto goggle lenses off.
And this, boys and girls, is one of many reasons why me and the missus never want to have kids. We own far too many breakable things!
You have my sympathies buddy. 
So I’ve been super busy with finishing up my pack mold that I let the refurbishing of my belt gizmo slide. I actually finished the repair back around the time my children…childrened it, but it’s been hanging on my belt not having much forward progress since.
This is how it sits now. I cut a new nixie bracket out of card stock and glued it on the block of wood I had been using. I took my spare printout of Jairus’ boards and cut replacement sections for where the printout was damaged when the 1 year old pulled off the nixie wires and capacitors. I didn’t replace the capacitors for now as the ones I had been using are now missing and Radio Shack charges way too much for small packages of components. I’ll probably order some ceramics from mouser next time I put a big order in, but for now I’ll leave them off. You can’t see them when the gizmo is in its holder anyways.
The daughterboard is the control board for one of my eldest son’s RC car controllers. He has a bunch that he’s tore up over the years but refuses to throw any of them away. I JB welded a clip to the back of it and then glued the power cord for my electric razor I never use to it. Lastly, I’m using a tiny piece of velcro to hold the gizmo in the holder.
I don’t have any pictures of it, but I sewed black patches into my elbow pads, and I’m considering tapering the arm bands of the pads. I’m just not sure if I want to cut them or attempt to sew them into a taper.
Keep up the good work dude, I’ve enjoyed seeing your progress.
Also I have tons of capacitors laying around. I would be more than happy to ship you some for free. It couldn’t cost more than a buck to send them.
While I appreciate the offer, it’s not necessary. The jairus printout is really just going to tide me over till I get around to making a spongeface setup. I might do a hotglue setup and make some discs that can analogue for the ceramic discs, but I’m not overly worried about it since that part of the board really isn’t visible when it’s in the holster.
