be careful though, i noticed that my meter is starting to get knicks on it where the inside rivets are.
It might be a good idea to cover them with black duct tape inside then.
HOT GLUE!
Happy to contribute and glad to hear the positive feedback from everyone!! ![]()
Hot glue was how I prevented mine from being scratched by the rivets.
tape seems like and obvious easy and not messy solution to the rivet problem.
Well I bought one…picked it up from Sears, fitted my PKE in there and my first reaction was -
And, before anyone thinks I didn’t mod this bitch correctly -
Yes, I agree with Mr. Gareee, I was afraid to use on glue on this thing -
So kudos to Sonny and So-Cal.
I kind of like the strap over the top of the display hood, personally. This was an excellent find!
That is what I used for my XGB style PKE
painted with with Krylon Fusion and slapped it onto my belt.

I just got one for my pke and its wonderful. I moded the the bottom straps to have a much wider hole and even stretched the leather to make it a slip in slip out deal. I am also keeping the other strap because the stretching of the leather made it a little deeper and I can easily fit the top strap over my pke just for extra safety. Thank you so much for this tip off Vince you have made my day!
well I decided to take a dremel and open the gap a bit more where the handle comes through.
I kept the ■■■■■■■■ it as it just reaches the top of the display area nicely so I just drop the PKE in and flip the strap up.
if you do not use the strap the meter could fall out if the holster is flipped enough.
And it slides in like Butter!
Nice! I’d remove the logo as well for cosmetic sake but I like what you did with the bottom straps.
ha just did as you were typing this. but the bonus is the strap are not pulling the rivets in towards the meter as well.
Which dremel attachement(s) did you use?
just a sanding drum. it will stink to high heaven and followed through with a utility knife to clean it up a bit. not so much cutting but removing as much if the loose stuff as possible..
Just picked one up today, and it’s fits perfect!! Thanks!!
My local Sears didn’t have these in stock. ![]()
Who wants to mail me one?-grin
I’m pretty sure you can order them through Sears for in store pickup. You canb also check the availability of them in all your local stores. Maybe another store in your area has some in stock?
It looks like they don’t ship directly to the store. Cost to ship it to me is just about as much as the holder. I did find it available in the Statesville store. Not too far away. But a drive none the less.
Thats odd.. they shipped some humidifier filters to our local store a while back. Check out this page.

It says they do site to store, and you just pick it up there.
Try again. You add the item to your cart, and on the cart screen, select pick up on the right instead of deliver. Here, I then get a selection of stores I can then pick it up from.
I found these pretty much same as the nylon only leather! =D
