vinc, i had to use dye for the leather on my jetpack harness. go to a place like tandy leather factory, they can show you the right stuff. ive had this brown dye for years, and finally used it for the pack. it came out really nice and it didnt rub off. i dont know of any dyes that give the glossy look, you might have to go ahead and do that with paint.
i had your same worries with the dye, because i wear it with my favorite jacket and didnt want to ruin it.
More expensive than the one on this topic, though, it’s ALL LEATHER… and the brown could be fix by using BLACK LEATHER DYE. Only thing… it will cost you more on the long run: $9 for the holster + (whatever price for the black leather dye) = maybe, twice or more the price for the one in discussion.
Still, I like the leather cutout for the belt, just like the greeblies holster, which goes more with the movie GB movies somehow. Hmmm, now I’m undecided.
I used sharpie on mine, it don’t come off, but it smells for a while… i suggest you leave it out to air out for a day, havent had any rubing problems at all, doesn’t come off, or smell, ( after it’s aired out ) and it goes on evenly and doesn’t leave any streak marks
ew. for some reason when i was thinking about this, i didnt compensate for the slack in the front. if someone were brave enough to mod that strap, i think it would look nicer wrapped around the front rather than the back, even though through the back doesnt look half bad either.
Glad to hear it but it was really Tientetsujin’s find, I was just sharing the info. I wonder if Sears is going to question the huge sudden spike in Tape measure holder sales
