Home Made Trap.

Hi guys, I’m new here, but rather than repeat the whole story, if you check out my post under the Proton Pack thread titled “Home made Pack”, you’ll get the basic idea. The thing is, when I started out on building my pack, I started early, not knowing how much time I’d actually have to complete my project. So I ended up with about a month left over till the unvealing of the costume to the public at the first Halloween Party of the season (this friday). And as the saying goes, Idle hands…well you get the idea. So what to do with all this time but build more props for my costume, right.

So, I present to you my home made Ghost Trap. Mind you, all made from parts that you can get at your local hardware store and Radio Shack, and easily throw together in an afternoon. It’s not fancy, nothing spectatular, but I wired in a few LED lights, and for effect, I’m going to throw in a glowstick and a chunk of dry ice, and I figure it will be good enough for the common folk.

So here are a few pictures, I’d love to hear your comments and questions.

Nice trape mate, really cool. I’m thinking of making one after I finish my pack.

Just one question, what did you make the foot peddle out of?

Cheers.

looks like either a keyboard peddle or a sewing pedal…

do I win a cigar?

Actually, it’s just an electrical box, painted black, with a blank cover left unpainted, with a foam insulating box pad between the two. Simply pop the hole on the top of the box, add a 1/2 wire crimp connector to attach the cord to, and done. Sure, it’s not fancy, but it gives the effect, and let’s face it, of all the GB props out there, the foot pedal is the least recognized of them all, only thing people remember is it had a pedal, other than that, you could probably use anything that looks like one. It really was just extra left over parts.

All of this old school building is getting my blood flowing again… VIVA LA REVOLUCION!
