Okay, I’ve got 6 feet of split loom wiring, and 5 feet of bilge pump hose… not sure which I’m going to use but here’s the big question.
How do you guys first, get this stuff to straighten out? And Second, how do you keep it from curling up when you take your thrower out and put it back?
well the split loom will settle and straighten out in time and you can also take it and stretch it a few times and that will help get the bends out. as far as the pump hose, i have no clue how to straighten it. Maybe if you take a heat gun and warm it ups and stretch it out and clamp it in a straight position it will stay but im not too sure
I straigtened out the split loom and weighed down each end, and let it sit in the sun (even by a window) for a few hours. Worked fine for me!

Okay, so with the split loom I have two other questions. One, is 3/8th inch the right size? It looks kinda small and wimpy to me. And two, how do you keep it from making that annoying crackling sound when you move it around?
Proto, I think there are actually different qualities of plastic when it comes to the split-flex. Some are are the really thin glossy black hoses and there some other ones that are a flatter more rigid plastic. The cheap ones make that noise but the better ones don’t. I wondered the same thing when I first got mine from like Home-Depot. I went to an actual electronics store and there was a much better one there.
Well, I guess that makes sense… I’m actually getting pretty fed up with the tubing at the moment. I can’t figure it out. I guess that’s bound to happen with SOMETHING before I finish up.
Incidentally, I just almost glued one of my boxes for the pack to my desk a few minutes ago! 
I loved the look of the bilge pump tubing but I can’t get it to behave correctly.
has anyone ever used some sort of swiveling assembly so that the tube could rotate around inside the gun handle? That would definately keep it from getting all curled up.
