How do I attach the tube?

How do I attach the yellow tube to the hole? I don’t have my suit and tube yet, i’m just curious about it.

With thread.

(Lol broken banjos)

thanks, but I know there is a tube hole on the flight suit. How does the tube attach to the hole? Does it just plug in?

You have to get / make a connector for it.

I got mine from a member here, but he can no longer sell on these forums.

Here you can see my connector without the hose:

And here with the hose:

As you can see, it just plugs into the connector.

If you wanna make your own, there are a few threads

what are you talking about . . .tube hole?

the gray connector is sewn onto the left leg of the suit like shown above, and the hose slips into it and is held in there by either epoxy, a black zip tie around the outside or maybe even just pressure-fit. there is no hole in the suit and the hose does not go through the suit.

if youre talking about the other end, it doesnt go anywhere.

it’s just an open ended rubber hose that you can either coil-up and stash in your belt or hang it from the back with some kind of clip.

Indeed, but this also lets you get creative with what you do to the other end.

I have seen people use a key ring like thing to attach the other end to their belt. I attach mine to my Belt Gizmo’s small board.

I still haven’t decided how I’m going to attach my hose. Yeah, people sew them on and all that, but just seems like it could rip off easily. I’d like to get one of the rubber nozzles but I already own the resin one and the guy isnt suppose to sell them anymore. I was considering using Amazing magnets to connect my nozzle, but I’m not 100% sold on the idea. Was thinking I could epoxy a hand full of the small magnets to a small patch and sew it to the outside of the suit. Then epoxy a handful to the back of the nozzle and WALA! the damned thing would hold on BIG TIME.

If you sew it right, the only thing coming off is the hose from the connector. For my connector (both the rubber one I currently and the resin one before that), I used an extra piece of fabric, in my case part of an old sock, and sewed it to the inside of the pant to help stop any ripping. I also used heavy duty thread as well.

I tried the magnets and it looked like ■■■■ IMO, but it did work. if you are really worried about it coming off, I guess you could use epoxy but good luck trying not to ruin anything if you wanna take it off without damaging anything.

I used epoxy to attach my hose connector to the suit, that thing will never ever come off. and my hose holds itself because its a tight fit

That’s what SHE said.

^ HEYooooh!!

I just ordered a connector from MMM. Do you guys paint these? I’m looking at the reference pics and they look like a sort of OD color, but I’m not positive. The ones MMM makes look like they’re a light gray color from his website pics. If you do paint them, what do you use?

Shane

MMM hose connectors come in a GB1 gray

GB2 hose connectors are a funky green

Aha, cool! Well then I’m all set! Thanks a bunch!
