Hi I’m Lee, I am an eager cosplayer and attend many conventions around England, but not all.
I have been interested in building my own proton pack since I was a child, when one f the Ghostbuster manuels offered me instructions how to do so, that was over twenty years ago.
When I first got into the cosplay scene (back in 2012), there were two cosplays I was very eager to create and build, yet at that time lacked the skills. These cosplays were STARTREK BORG, and a GHOSTBUSTER. Bothe of these had very complex builds, and the BORG had more free reign with what i could do with building it, so last year, I built and created my borg.
There are still some improvements that i need to make to my borg, yet it’s looking awesome. I am aiming to add sound effects by spring.
On May 4th, I met a guy called Luke, who showed me his awesome GB cosplays, and introduced me to the Bristol Ghostbusters on FB. We even talked about him doing a commision for me, yet I was more interested in building my GB cosplay myself.
I also get told alot that i look like a young ‘Bill Murray’, this used to annoy me, until i decided it was time to build a cosplay based on Peter Venkman.
I asked google ‘how to build a Ghostbusters Cosplay’, and various webpages appeared. I made youtube notes, printed off rough guides from the internet, and also discovered GB fans.
The more i studied the designs, and the details, the more I built, due to me using bad guides via youtube some of my measurements were slightly off. I plowed through, working with my mistakes than against them, many of my parts I made out of cardboard and paper mache (which took a long time). Three different types of paint (poster, acryllic, and spray paints), and loads of glue.
I finally got there with my build, it just needs a lil touching up with some black paint, and it’ll be good to get on the road to events.
I have used this site alot for ideas, and how to build the Proton Pack.
It has been a challenge, yet I have paid attention, and added my own personality into my build.

I have reached my basic completion phase, now I’m on my tweaking phase.

I do not have much money, so it took some time to build, and many parts took a while to build.
I do have pictures to share, but not sure if i should post them yet.
